Epilogue

Freya's POV
I continued humming a tune as I finished picking up my children's nursery.

I brushed a lock of hair behind my ear and turned around only to see Elizabeth peering down at her baby brother. I giggled softly and softly said "Now it's time for princess Elizabeth to go to bed" Elizabeth turned her head and pouted at me "I wanna say good night, momma" I shook my head and said "Be quick, or we can't read The sister's Grimm tonight" Elizabeth nodded rapidly before turning back around.

"Good night, Váli" she leaned down and gently kissed his forehead, then walked over to the next crib "Good night, Hnoss" and the next "Good night, Gersemi" she then turns to me and says "Okay! Ready" she then bolts out of the nursery and into her room with me following.

She scrambled onto her bed, I giggled before tucking her in and settling down next to her. I reached over and grabbed the book she picked to read tonight and I started reading out loud.

When I finished with the first chapter, I placed a bookmark to save the place "One more chapter, momma, please?" Lizzie pleaded, I shook my head amused and said "No, honey, it's bedtime. We'll read another chapter tomorrow night. Right now you need to go to sleep so we can go to Uncle Thor and Aunt Sif's coronation tomorrow" Lizzie pouted before nodding and saying "Okay....night mommy" I smiled and kissed her head "Good night my little love."

I stood up and began walking to my shared bedroom with Loki, only to stop in front of the nursery where I saw Loki holding our son in his arms. "You know.... I was so afraid to love you..." he said softly to Váli "I thought that you'd be like me. That you'd be cold, and cruel, and full of hate like I was..... a monster.... but then you opened your eyes and I saw her....I saw your mother in you, and how could I not love you? How could I not love the thing that the woman I love more than anything in the universe created? The woman who saved me and gave me everything."

Loki suddenly let out a chuckle that sounded suspiciously like a sob "Always remember that you are loved, Váli, you are loved unconditionally, irrevocably, forever and always" he kissed Váli on top of his head and laid him back down in his crib. He then walked over to our daughters cribs and kissed their foreheads and whispered 'I love yous' to them as well before turning around spotting me.

Loki jolted "Freya?! You scared me darling......how much of that did you hear?" "All of it" I replied then I walked over to him and wrapped my arms around him and he returned it.

I pulled away, but continued holding his hand "C'mon, love, let's go to bed" and tugged him along.

I guided him to our room in Asgard and laid on bed with him on top of me. Loki rested his head on my chest and I wrapped him up in my arms.

"Loki....why didn't you tell me about your fears before?" I asked him gently as I ran my fingers through his hair. Loki sighed and said "I feared you changing your mind about the pregnancy more" I frowned before asking "What are you talking about?"  Loki sighed and pulled away so he laid beside me "I feared that my own fears would cause you to terminate the pregnancy and I couldn't risk you doing something that the both of us would regret.... I'd rather risk being a terrible parent like ours than not even bother to try."

My face softened and I said "Loki....you're a wonderful father. The triplets and Elizabeth love you, and they look up to you. You don't need to be afraid of anything, but if you ever are you can talk to me about it. That's what I'm here for...." Loki looked down and tearfully smiled at me before pulling me to lay on top of him "What would I do without you?"

I smiled up at him and said "Crash and burn, probably" we both laughed before snuggling up together.

And then we continued blissfully into this small but perfect peice of our forever.
