A Night To Remember

Chapter 1: Larry

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock ringing from my cell phone. The time read five am. I quickly got up and checked on Laurent. This dude's rock and roll ringtone was cranked up. And he was still sleep.

"Aye." I said as I leaned over him.

But he gave me no response. So, I shook him up a bit. He still didn't wake up. I'm sure you can tell that my bro is a deep sleeper. Once I realized the covers was under him, I pulled it; moving him to the edge of the bed. Then he woke up saying,

"Hey! What you doing?"
"Get up. We have to get ready for the workshop. And WE don't want to be late." I replied.

Laurent quickly hopped out of bed and yelled,

"Dibs on shower!"
"Wait!" I yelled back and ran after him.

Laurent ran into the bathroom and locked the door. I could hear him, laughing.

"Dont take all day!" I shouted.
"Get some food! I'm hungry!" Laurent replied.
"I got chu." I said and looked at my wallet.

I had fifty dollars. But I was willing to spend only twenty dollars on breakfast. I threw some clothes on, grabbed my car keys and locked the hotel door behind me. As I walked through the lobby, I was slightly blinded by the sun; shining over the city of Los Angeles. I stood at the front doors of the Marriott hotel as I waited for valet to bring my car around. Since I knew there was a McDonald's down the street, that's where I went to pick up breakfast. I ordered a double order of coffee, hash browns, sausage mc muffins, and orange juice. When I returned, Laurent was tying his white and black jordans. I put the food on the table and said,

"Those better not be mine."
"Don't trip. They're not." Laurent chuckled.
"I wasn't sure what you wanted so I got you the same thing I got."

After Laurent was done with his shoes, he searched through the McDonalds bag and asked,

"Where's the ketchup? "
"I knew I forgot something. "
"Really?" Laurent asked as he looked at me with a shocked stare.
"Don't start. Just eat, okay." I said and shook my head.
"Thank you bro. You know I appreciate it. "

After we were done eating, I checked the time. It was six o'clock. I took a quick shower, got dressed and headed to the workshop.
