A Night To Remember

Chapter 18: Laurent

After viewing that very touching video, I truly had a moment of deep appreciation of my success. I was shocked and amazed that Angela made a birthday video for us. I wondered how she got a clip of our mami. The moment I held her in my arms, I was assured she was meant for me. Everyone pointed at the ceiling as the two pinatas were lowered. They looked just like us. Giovanni crept behind Larry and put a rag over his eyes. Then Giovanni stood behind me and covered my eyes with a rag. I could feel Giovanni slightly moving me forward. A stick was placed in my hand. As soon as I heard the stick tapped the piñata, I took one hard swing. I heard the pinata exploded. I quickly snatched the rag and dived onto the floor. Everyone rushed onto the floor. Grabbing whatever they could get their hands on. I had both hands full of goodies. I paused because I realized the candy I asked for wasn't in the pinatas. Larry slapped my back and said,

"What the hell is this?" Larry opened his hands to reveal money, condoms, and small gels.
"I don't know. I asked for skittles and snickers. Stuff like that. And why is that candy not labeled?" I said.

I opened it and saw colorful pieces of candy. But I thought it was strange that some had the letters "x", dollar signs, hearts, hugs and kisses (oxox) symbols. My curiousities lead me to wanting to know it's flavor. So, I popped two of them in my mouth.

"What it taste like?" Larry asked.
"The pink ones taste like strawberries." I replied.

Larry stared at the money and pointed something out to me.

"Oh my god, you got these piñatas from a sex shop!" Larry replied and laughed.

"What! No I didn't! "I shouted.
"Yes you did. That's why there is a label of the stores address on the condoms!" Larry said and laughed harder.

I couldn't believe it. I thought it was a Mexican store. It made sense. But I still didn't know the deal with the candy. I looked around and saw people eating the candy. Some people freaked out and threw the candy across the room. Kiauna ran to me and said,

"Please tell me you didn't eat the candy. "

I quickly pointed to Larry and said,

"Larry did. Why?" I replied.
"Those are not candies. They're ecstacy pills." Kiauna said.

My mouth dropped.

"Excuse me, I gotta go." I said and made a run for the bathroom.

But Mike stopped me before I could make it. He turned my body around and moved me towards the kitchen. Giovanni and Pom had our birthday cake on a movable table. Everyone began to sing happy birthday to us. I was so happy with how the cake turned out. Larry jumped with excitement and hugged me. After we blew out the candles, Pom handed Larry a big knife.

"Hold up everybody! We're going do this a little different. We're going to do this like a bride and groom. " Larry announced.

I was a bit confused by that comment. Larry grabbed one of my hands and wrapped his hands onto mine. We sliced two thin pieces of cake. Larry put the knife down on the table. We had a piece of cake in our hands. With the piece Larry had in his hand, he put his piece towards my face. He waited for me to take a bite. I could hear people laughing. I did the same thing to larry. As I leaned forward to take a bite, I shoved my piece in Larry's mouth.

"That's some good cake, Anna may!" I said and laughed.

Larry paused and gave me a devilish smirk.

"You want some, Ike?" Larry said and threw his piece of cake at my neck.

Larry laughed and pointed at me. When I heard the Dj say "food fight", it was on. Everybody ran for the cake and food table. There was food flying all over the place. The only person I found untouched was Angela. I slowly walked toward Angela with my hands behind my back.

"Laurent! Stop playing! " Angela said as she walked backwards.
"I'm not playing! " I replied getting closer to Angela.
"If you get me, I swear...." Angela said.
"I just want to hug you. " I said and hugged Angela.

Before I let go, I dropped pineapple chunks down her shirt. Hearing her scream,

"Oh my god! Laurent! "

It kind of turned me on. Or maybe it was the ecstacy arousing me. Angela poured jungle juice down my back.

"Woo...it's cold!" I shouted as i shook the ice cubes out of my shirt.

A few minutes later, there was no more food to throw. DJ Mansour made another announcement.

"I'm so glad yall didn't get me. Housekeeping is going to clean the dance and kitchen area. I need everyone to please exit the dance and kitchen area. And go into the inside pool room. Thank you. "

For some reason, people started running. So, I ran too. I was in the back of the crowd. At this point, I had lost track of larry. But I figure he was okay.
