A Night To Remember

Chapter 10: Angela

I was surprised I ran into Laurent on sunset Blvd. Since I was driving, I didn't look at the card Laurent gave me. When I arrived at the LA hospital, I put the card in my purse, threw the purse on my shoulder and walked inside. I worked at the hospital as a housekeeper in the ICU(intensive care unit). I checked the worksheet to see I was paired up with Kiauna. Kiauna is my best friend.

As Kiauna and I made our trash rounds, I said,

"Guess what? You will not believe what happened to me."
"Oh no, what is it?" Kiauna asked in a worried voice.
"It's not bad. I meet Les Twins." I added.
"Are you for real? Les Twins?" Kiauna surprisingly asked.
"Yes girl. Laurent even gave me a ride home." I added.
"Oh my god!" Kiauna screamed with excitement.

She took a moment to think and said,

"Wait a minute. When did this happen?"
"Remember when I asked you to come with me to a dance workshop. And you said no." I answered.
"Oh man! I should have gone. I could have meet Larry, with his fine ass." Kiauna said.
"Are you getting jealous on me?" I teased Kiauna.
"Whatever, so what happened when Laurent took you home?" Kiauna curiously asked.

I told Kiauna exactly what happened. But she looked a bit disappointed.

"Does Terrance know about that?" Kiauna asked as we threw a few garbage bags in a large garbage bin.
"No. And besides, Terrance wasn't even home when I got there." I replied with a bad attitude.
"How are things with you and Terrance?" Kiauna asked as we wiped down some tables.

I told Kiauna I slaved over a stove, planned a romantic evening and how careless Terrance reacted.

"He can be a jerk sometimes. He seems to be taking me for granted lately. And I don't get it. I thought he loved me." I replied.
"You gotta figure out what's going on with him. I know this much, he better not be doing you wrong. And if I find out he did, he's coming up missing." Kiauna replied.

We gave each other a high five and laughed.

"Hey, on my way here, I ran into Laurent." I mentioned.
"Okay this is too much." Kiauna added.
"No, I'm serious. He gave me this card, but he didn't tell me why." I replied and showed Kiauna the card.

Kiauna read the card and said,

"Oh my god! He gave you his number."
"Let me see that." I snatched the card from Kiauna and realized she was telling the truth.
"Aaahh!" We both screamed with happiness.

We quickly stopped because we both remembered were at work.

"Oh my god. I can't believe this. You have one of Les Twins' phone number." Kiauna said.

I glanced at the card again and said,

"Hold up. How do I know this is his real number? And why did he give me this card?"
"There's only one way to find out." Kiauna said, walked over to a phone on the table and handed it to me.
