Chapter 4: One Step at A Time

The door to their music store swung open making their heads turn at the same time. They were expecting to see Yonghoon but instead, they've got a customer. "Welcome miss. Feel free to look around and please don't be shy to call any of us if you need an assistant." Harin greeted her with his smile and she just nodded as a reply. So Yeon didn't even get a glimpse of the girl's face because she was talking to Dongmyeong. "So, If I decide to do this, I won't have to apply for any other job?"

Dongmyeong shakes his head. "All of us work and earn our income here. We can ask for extra money from the first Counter called Choi Jang Mul. Although that being said, all of us never met him before except for Yonghoon hyung." He explains and So Yeon registers the new information in her head. "Is Yonghoon hyung our leader? I mean Jin Yonghoon ssi. I honestly don't know what to call him yet." So Yeon had trouble figuring out how to address the latter because calling him a senior would definitely draw a line between them but a hyung seemed a bit close and oppa is too awkward for her to say.

"Hyung is fine." His voice came and she jumped, suprised upon his presence. "Jin Yonghoon ssi? When did you arrive here?" He looked at her weirdly and she corrected herself. "Yonghoon... hyung, when did you arrive?" He smiles and ruffles her hair before saying "Just after that girl right there. We'll talk more when she leaves."

So Yeon nodded and tied her hair up because it keeps getting in her way while she talks. When she finished tying her hair, the girl walks towards her. "Excuse me?" She lightly tapped So Yeon's shoulder making her turn to see the girl's face. Oh? She seems familiar. So Yeon stood up so their face level would not be that much of difference.

So Yeon looked at her name tag. Go Hye Ri? She frowned at the name, before remembering the person that the evil spirit had killed. Go Hye Sung... are they perhaps twins? As So Yeon looks into her eyes, she breaks down and hugged her tightly. "Th-Than-Thank you unnie."

She was the one So Yeon had saved last night. While holding her, So Yeon could see her memories...

"Hye Ri, you go first, I'll stall her." Hye Sung spoke while they were hiding behind a wall in an abandoned building. "No, No. Let's go together." Hye Ri dragged him with her but they were greeted by the person who chased them in the first place.

"There you are!" The lady with the knife found them. They shrieked in fear and managed to run away from her.

Flash

"We've lost her, call the police, now." Hye Sung hastily rummages through his pockets and handed Hye Ri his handphone. She was panicking so before she could even dial a number, she saw Hye Sung got stabbed in his stomach, trying to protect her.

This time, it wasn't a lady, it was a man. "Hye- Hye Ri, stay alive." Hye Sung manages to say his last sentence before he lost his last breath.

Flash

"This time, no more twin saving, huh?" The lady who held the knife laughs maniacally. "Shut up, you monster!" Hye Ri shouted in fear and pain due to her sudden lost.

The lady pointed the knife at her and whispers to her ear "You got a lot of nerve to say that, kid. Any last words?" She was about to stab her when her plan failed miserably.

Hye Ri was shocked to see a girl pushed the lady even though she was in fear, herself. "Run!" That was the only thing she told her and Hye Ri willingly obeyed her.
