It's Not Worth It

Takemichi opened his eyes. He was immediately greeted by a headache.

"What...happened..."
Takemichi said in a old man voice.

Mikey ran up to Takemichi.
"You're alive! :D"

Mikey helped Takemichi sit up slowly.
"I would scold you, if Shin-nii wasn't so mad."

"..Huh?"

Takemichi saw Shinichiro by the door of Mikey's room. His arms were crossed and he was staring right at Takemichi. If the lights were off, you could mistake him for a sleep paralysis demon.

Takemichi didn't even try to get his way out this one.
"Sorry.."

Shinichiro walked over to Takemichi and pinched his nose.

"I think you already know what you did wrong."
He said in a low voice.

"Y-yeah.."

Mikey wasn't really scared of his brother. He's never seen him this mad though.

Shinichiro sighed.
"Do I have to put a leash on you?"

"Please don't."

Shinichiro looked at Mikey.

"You can't stay outside for longer than 2 hours by yourself."

Takemichi sunk back into Mikey's bed.
"How can I regain your trust?"

Shinichiro cupped Takemichi's face.
"For the love of God, please stop getting hurt."

"Eheheh..."

"And if that doesn't work, you can only go outside with me, Mikey, Izana, or Wakasa."

'I think I've already been doing that, for weeks now.'

"Now rest."

Shinichiro gently patted Takemichi's head.

Takemichi looked around Mikey's room. 'What happened-'

"Kazutora...?"

Kazutora looked up at Takemichi.
His eyes were a little red.

"Hey..."
Kazutora sounded dead.

Chifuyu jumped on Takemichi.
"NEVER DO THAT AGAIN, YOU HEAR ME?"

Takemichi covered his ears. "I won't, sorry Chifuyu."

Takemichi looked at Chifuyu.
'Oh, he's serious.'
Chifuyu was holding back tears.

"Chifuyu, could you tell me what happened when I passed out..?"

Chifuyu let go of Takemichi and sat next to him.

"We saw Kazutora on our way to Mikey's house. His parents were arguing..."

"Ah.. thank you.."

Takemichi felt guilt overcome him once again. All this to look for Kazutora...

'Well, at least he isn't with his parents right now...'

Mikey was staring at Peke J.

Takemichi put his hand on his head and carefully got up.

'I wanna make Kazutora happy, but I don't know how...'
