Unexpected Apology

Takemichi woke up feeling relaxed for the first time in months.

He couldn't get over the fact that Shinichiro was safe.

Takemichi was about to jump out of bed, but he didn't move an inch.

Takemichi felt Mikey's grip tighten around his waist.
"Where are you going?"
A sleepy voice was heard behind Takemichi.

Takemichi's sleepiness took over.
'Where...am I going..?'

Takemichi didn't get proper rest since he met Shinichiro.
'This mission is over Takemitchy, please rest.'

"Takemitchy??"

Tears filled Takemichi's eyes. He was crying so much, everything went blurry so fast.

Mikey panicked at the change in Takemichi's mood.

He was trying his best to be quiet, but he had to gasp for air. Small sniffles were heard from Takemichi.

"Takemichi?? What's wrong?? Was it a nightmare??"
Mikey turned Takemichi over and held him tight.

"You don't have to hold in your tears, you'll get a lump in your throat."
Mikey says quietly.

It took a few seconds.
All the sudden Takemichi was wailing.
He was stuck to Mikey.

Mikey wasn't used to this.
He wasn't used to Takemichi hugging him like this. He could fall asleep right now.
It was like cuddling a cat.
Mikey doesn't like cats, but if Takemichi was a cat, he'd only like Takemichi.

It's been a few minutes and Takemichi calmed down a bit. He was sobbing on Mikey's shoulder.

"Mitchy... if you're comfortable now... can you tell me why you're so sad?"

Mikey looked down at Takemichi.

"I'm ssso hhhappy!!"
Takemichi smiled as more tears fall from his eyes. Takemichi laughed a little from his own actions.
It was hard saying that without stuttering.
Takemichi was truly happy though.

Maybe, just maybe he can enjoy life with Mikey.

Mikey used his knuckle to squish Takemichi's cheek.
"You can cry over anything Takemitchy."
Mikey smiled for a second, then
Squeezed Takemichi like a teddy bear.

'Is he already asleep??'
Takemichi's eyelids got heavier and heavier.

Takemichi didn't let go of Mikey.
Mikey didn't let go of Takemichi.

Kazutora awkwardly walked around in the kitchen.
"Kazutora? Are you hungry?"
Kazutora flinched when heard Shinichiro.

"N-nO thanks!"
Shinichiro walked away to get back to what he was doing.

Kazutora's voice cracked..
He just wanted to disappear right there.

It was 2:00pm and Kazutora didn't know if he should leave or apologize.

Baji was with him the whole time. He said that they should apologize, but Kazutora doesn't want Mikey to murder him.

"Good morning, or afternoon."
Takemichi wore a sleepy smile.
Mikey was behind him hugging Takemichi. Was he asleep? Who knows.
