The arch was pretty far so we went through this underground museum. It was alright I had seen most of this stuff already when it was still in use. Annabeth seemed to know about them more then me. I still don't know how to feel about that fact.

Grover was just eating jellybeans the whole way. I've only had them once it was in the bag of my mothers unlucky "customer". Grover handed me a few and they tasted just the same.

"Guys you know the gods symbol of power?" Percy questioned. Yeah we all answered I don't even know why he asked as if any half-blood can forget them. "So hade-"

"we're in public...." i reminded "what about our friend downstairs"  "right, our friend way downstairs." Percy corrected "doesn't he have a hat like annabeths."

"The helm of darkness, that's his symbol of power. I saw it next to him during the winter solstice council meeting."

"He was there?" "Obviously he is a god a major one at that." I pointed out. "Right it's the only time he's allowed to visit Olympus-the darkest day of the year. But his helm is a lot more powerful than my invisibility hat." Anabeth paused. "It lets him become darkness. He can melt into shadow pass through wall. He can't be touched, seen, or heard. He radiates fear witch can drive you insane even stop your heart. Why do you think every rational creature fears the dark." Grover added. "So then...how do we know he's not watching us now." Percy asked. We all exchanged a look. "We don't." Grover said.

"Thanks that makes me feel so much better got any blue jelly beans left." Percy said. "Ooh can I have some to." The uncomfortable feeling dissipated and everything was pretty chill.

When we finally got to the arch I new it was going to suck since I hate heights. I didn't really think about that part but now that I'm here I'm regretting everything.

We got in the elevator and a fat lady came in with a dog. Now the dog was odd since I don't think there allowed but what was really suspicious was that it didn't growl at me. Every single dog or animal didn't like me except maybe horses.

"No parents?" the lady asked. I kinda froze not sure what to do. " they're below scared of heights." I sighed thankful for anabeths quick thinking.

I didn't hear what her response was I was busy staring down the dog. It growled but it was to late of a reaction to calm my nerves. I absentmindedly grabbed my necklace something I used to do a lot when I was uncomfortable. "Calm down sonny." The lady said. "Is it's name sonny?" Percy asked. Obviously if she calls it so- "no" the lady said. Okay maybe I was wrong but this is setting of so many warning bells.

We finally got to the top and I was to afraid to look out the window. Annabeth kept geeking out about everything which distracted me a-bit but I couldn't be happier when the guard said the observation deck would be closing up in a few minutes. Percy wasted no time steering us to the elevator but there was already some people in it so he couldn't get on. "We'll get off and wait with you." Anabeth offered. But Percy declined saying he'd get the next one.

When we got down we waited for a bit patiently. "Why's he taking so long?" I asked. My question was answered in a very unconventional way when flames went through the floor of the deck. "Now I know I haven't gone out much but that's not normal is it?" Obviously Grover and annabeth said.

People were swarming and filming it was a mess. After a while a body seemed to have fallen. Until closer look I realized that body was Percy falling. He landed in water but I don't that helped much. "Yikes that's gonna leave a mark." I commented.

I got jostled a-bit from the group but found my way back. Percy was there with everyone else. "Where iris?" I heard him question. Right here I answered walking up to them. "So Percy do you normally fall of monuments or is that a new hobby?"

Then someone pointed at Percy "there he is that's the boy!" Percy grabbed us and we disappeared into the crowd. "What's going on." Anabeth demanded. "Was she talking about the chihuahua in the elevator." Percy told us the whole story about the chihuahua turned monster falling and the summon from his father.

"I knew something was wrong with that dog." I added. "How?" "It didn't growl at me." "Do all animals hate you." Grover questioned. "A lot of them, if snakes are a natural predator to them then they hate me." "Dang your life must be really sad." I punched Grover in the shoulder for that last comment. I used a bit to much force though cus he fell to the floor. Oops.

"Anyway." Grover said getting up and dusting himself off. "We have to get you to Santa Monica you can't ignore a summons from your dad." Before anyone could respond we passed a news reporter "Percy Jackson. That's right, Dan. Channel twelve has learned that the boy who may have caused this explosion fits the description of a young man wanted by authorities for a serious New Jersey bus accident three days ago. And the boy is believed to be traveling west For our viewers at
Home here is a photo of Percy Jackson."

We ducked around the news van and hid in an alley "first thing first" Percy told Grover "we get out of town." We somehow made it back to the train without getting spotted. We got on board just as it was about to pull out for Denver. Police lights still going strong in the background.
