Empty Stares suffocated the redhead as he glanced at his surroundings. He doesn't know how long he was trapped in the book, but he wasn't going to waste time figuring it out. Poe looked astonished. He was surprised the young man had managed to make it out so quickly. The shy man's vision tracked his movements as he left. Trembling hands reached for the phone on his desk and he dilated in a familiar number. "He's out." He could sense the smirk form from the other side of the line.

Adrenaline rushed through Chuuya's body. Within 20minutes he had made it back to the port mafia.

"Let me see Mori" he demanded to kouyou.

"That's no way to speak to me, ask with respect." The woman retorted with a side glance towards him. He looked rough, his clothes were torn, his hair was down and messier than usual and his hat was falling half off of his head.

"Fine." He huffed. "Please can you request mori to speak to me, it's urgent."

"Of course, one moment." Swiftly, she began to make her way towards his office. Elegance coated her. She presented a lot differently to most of the other members. Chuuya always admired that, she was beautiful. she had always been like family to him. She guided him since he was 15. Whist she tended to attract many men, his attraction fell upon someone else. Hers did too.

Chuuya paced back and forth in the elongated corridor. It was emptier than usual which was strange. After a few minutes the young man heard the door slowly creak open. "Come in" a sharp strong voice echoed through the air. He man took in a deep breath before walking in with his head held high.

Kouyou waited patiently outside the door, listening to the quiet mumbles of the conversation taking place. None of the other members know the details of what was discussed that afternoon. All they know is it somehow lead to where they are today. Chuuya was forced to join them for multiple reasons publically 1)Dazai's ability: no longer human. Having him live with allowed Chuuya to have time to train and try to gain control over corruption and have a way to nullify it before it kills him. 2) having someone with a high rank from the port mafia makes it easier to see if they're sticking to the agreement. They didn't know how long it would take for this new re-alliance to break. Whether it would be they simply didn't need it anymore or if one of them would end up betraying the other. The future was uncertain.

"This place is fucking disgusting. Fits you well, but I'm not living in this shithole." Chuuya proclaimed as he glared at the internal aspects of the apartment. The floor was coated in thick layers of dust, dirty clothes and smashed bottles of alcohol along with crushed empty cans. Used dishes with moulding food occupied the tables and chairs.

"Not my problem" Dazai retorts in a higher voice and a wide grin plastered onto his face.

"Are you serious? Are you not going to even try to tidy or clean it?" He was unimpressed to say the least. Though he wasn't surprised either.

"Nope."

"So you're gonna make me do it?"

"No. I'm not going to make you do anything, that's up to you." Dazai responded unfazed. Chuuya understood and slowly began to make space for himself on the couch.

"Want something to drink?" The brunette offered in a monotone voice.

"Dazai it's the middle of the day." He sneered.

"So that's a yes" He applauded in celebration; changing his tone to appear more lively.

"You know me too well" a small laugh breached his lips and he tried to disguise it with a cough.

Dazai took out a bottle of wine and handed it to the shorter man. He then opened a bottle of the strongest vodka he could find in his cupboard for himself.
"I'll be back in a minute." The bathroom door closed behind him. The sound of rummaging echoed for a minute before the sound of a toilet flushing could be heard. They didn't talk much but when they did a sense of safety and nostalgia flowed through them both.
