“Dad, calm down, would you. Yes, we’re eating properly. Yes, we’re doing our work. Yes, we’re looking- hang on, why do you only care about Izuku?” Akuma shuffled around the kitchen, a mildly insulted expression on his face.
“Because Izuku is only four, you’re meant to look after him.” Kosho smiled slightly, grabbing his keys from the side as he shifted his phone from one ear to the other. “Listen, I know you’ll be able to look after him it's just this is the first time either of you will be away from me since... well you know.” Kosho trailed off as Akuma lowered his head.
“Yeah, I know but you don’t need to worry so much. You’ll stress yourself out.”
“I know, I know. I’ve got to go. Tell Izuku I love him.”
Rolling his eyes slightly, Akuma smiled. “I’m pretty sure he already knows.”
“And Akuma-” Kosho paused as he opened his door- “I love you. Bye.” Akuma didn’t get a chance to respond when Kosho had to hang up and run out the door.
Akuma gripped his phone tightly, a small smile on his face.
Pop.
Snapping out of his thoughts, Akuma placed the toast on the plate and buttered them up. He walked into Ichi’s room, spotting the annoying cat meowing at him. Akuma wasn’t sure what it was about that cat but it always felt as if he was watching him.
“Izuku, time to wake up.” Akuma shook Izuku’s shoulder, offering out the toast much to Izuku’s joy.
“Food…?” Ichi groaned as she woke up, reaching around blindly for the source of nutrition.
“Not for you.” Akuma picked up Izuku, carrying him out of the room much to Ichi’s agitation. “Yours is on the table.”
Ichi opened one of her eyes, a smirk on her lips. “Knew you cared,” she whispered as Akuma slammed the door shut.
~~~
Izuku hummed under his breath, kicking his legs back and forth above his head. He munched on his snack as he vaguely listened to the conversation going on around him. Everyone was waiting for Aizawa to show up for the lesson.
“Hey, Kuchan,” Izuku tilted his head back as Akuma hummed, “you think we could visit Mummy at the weekend?”
Akuma’s eyes widened, fidgeting slightly. “I thought we were going to see dad? He’s really looking forward to seeing you.” Akuma avoided Izuku’s eyes, he won’t let Izuku break him this time!
Izuku rolled over, climbing onto his feet and floating onto Akuma’s desk. “I know but I miss Mummy.” Izuku’s eyes watered slightly leaving Akuma lost. He did not know what to do!
Ichi snickered slightly, hopping onto Akuma’s desk and pulling Izuku onto her lap. “Izuku, I think Kuma is missing his dad just as much as you’re missing your mum.”
Izuku looked at Akuma who was still avoiding his gaze.
“You know, there is a simple solution.” Ichi waved her finger about. “If I remember correctly, your mum moved a few years ago and now lives close to Kuma’s dad. From what Kachan told me, I think it would be good for Inko to get out of her house for a while so why don’t you guys go back to your house, meet Inko there and spend the weekend with both parents.”
Akuma blinked in shock. That wasn’t actually that bad a plan.
Ichi smirked as she winked at Izuku. “You can use my old room to sleep, however, get kicked out first or Akuma can sleep on the couch.”
