Ichi frowned as she focused her power. Tiny static balls of energy formed in her hands but she couldn't recreate the ring of power she had during the break-in. Groaning, she fell back and glared at the ceiling. "This is so stupid. I should know how to use my own Quirk. I've been using it for eleven years of my life! ...Why did it change now...?"

So caught up in her thoughts, Ichi did not notice the soft patter of footsteps coming closer. "What are you doing?"

Ichi screamed as she jumped up and away from Izuku. "Geeze, don't scare me like that, Izu."

Giggling, Izuku sat down beside Ichi. "That doesn't answer my question."

"I'm trying to figure out whatever I did yesterday." Ichi's usually carefree expression turned to one of serious nature as she curled in on herself. "I'm not really a fighter, I can't take on big enemies but I want to be a hero. Before I thought I could be a rescue hero, helping out people who got hurt- like Recovery girl- but now, this could be my chance to actually fight. If I can make people calmer, I could incapacitate them without others." Ichi paused, her fist tightening as she continued speaking. "But I just seem to be making myself hungry. I say it's breakfast time!" Ichi jumped to her feet, walking away as if nothing had happened.

Izuku stared after her, not saying anything as he continued about his day and went to wake up Akuma.

~~~
Izuku jumped up and down, running around Akuma who was absentmindedly listening to him. Izuku hadn't calmed down since it was announced that they were going out of school for rescue training.
Iida was shouting at everyone to get in line, preparing for the bus's arrival while the class told him to calm down. It wasn't as if he was being that annoying, just a little over-enthusiastic.
Akuma drifted his gaze over to Ichi. She had been acting strange since yesterday and he wasn't entirely sure why. Part of him wanted to ask but Izuku had already told him not to.
Huffing in annoyance, Izuku flew in front of Akuma's face. "Kuchan! Are you even listening to me?!"
~~~

Izuku beamed, jumping up and down as he stared out of the window.

"Sit down Izu, we don't want you to fall." Akuma tried to pull Izuku back into his seat but it made no difference, Izuku wasn't sitting.

"Hey, Akuma-kun, I usually speak my mind," Tsu started, catching both Akuma and Izuku's attention. "Your quirk is a lot like dark magic isn't it?"

Akuma didn't respond, turning away from her. Izuku glanced at Akuma, a worried look on his face. "Akuma isn't dark! His magic is amazing!" Izuku smiled as he stood in front of Akuma protectively.

"But like, aren't you a literal demon?" Tsu tilted her head slightly as Izuku froze. Small droplets of water built in the corners of his eyes as Akuma pulled him into a tight hug.

"Hey! What's your deal?!"

Tsu looked slightly shocked as she watched Akuma sooth Izuku. "My apologies, I didn't mean to upset you."

Akuma didn't answer, ignoring her. Tsu couldn't help but feel in danger as Bakugo glared at her from a few seats across.

"I'm sure he doesn't mind but he isn't a demon, he's a grim," Ichi interrupted as she leaned over her seat.

Kaminari blinked in confusion. "What's the difference?"

Ichi hummed, tapping her chin. "One steals your soul, one guides it."

Mina gulped. "He guides, right?"

Ichi didn't answer. She simply shrugged her shoulders and slipped back into her seat.

Uraraka frowned, watching Ichi. "Hey Ichi, what is your Quirk? Like I know it heals people but what happened yesterday?"

A long pause followed Uraraka's question. Everyone turned their heads to look at Ichi but she didn't have an answer.

"Come now everyone, leave her alone," Yaoyorozu ordered as she placed a gentle hand on Ichi's shoulder. Ichi smiled, thanking Yaoyorozu under her breath as the conversation quickly moved on to comparing Quirks.

~~~
As the bus came to a stop in front of the large building, the students rushed out. They stared in awe at the large building that towered above them. Izuku rushed forward, flying through the large opening and soaring around the open space.
"Thirteen!" Izuku popped mid-air, landing on Thirteen's shoulder in his smaller form. He jumped up and down as he chucked out a million questions a second.
Akuma couldn't help but smile when he noticed Thirteen was actually keeping up and answering Izuku. Whistling slightly, Akuma called Izuku back over, ruffling his hair when he landed on his shoulder.
Akuma tried to block out what Izuku was chirping about to listen to Aizawa and Thirteen's conversation but he was unable to hear them.
Thirteen called everyone over and launched into the shortest lecture about Quirk dangers Akuma has ever heard. Though, that might just be something only he was used to.
"Kuchan..."
Akuma glanced at Izuku, humming in acknowledgement.
"Those people aren't meant to be here."
Snapping to attention, Akuma shifted his gaze to the people Izuku was pointing to. Hundreds of villains walked out into the building, an intimidating aura coming from them.
Aizawa growled as he charged forward, leaping down the stairs. "Thirteen! Protect the students!" He wasted no time hitting the first villain before moving on to the next.
Smoke surrounded them, blocking the exit from the building. The students were panicking, no idea where they should go or what they should do.
Izuku launched into the air, glowing out his wings as he tried to blow away the villain. Akuma rushed forward, his eyes glowing as he jumped up. "Βοώ!" A large explosion followed his command, the villain screeching as it dodged the attack.
Neither of them had time to react before they fell through the floor. Screaming, Izuku tried to fly out of the mist but in doing so, he didn't notice Akuma falling. "Izuku!"
