Akuma fidgeted, waiting by the train station.
"Hey, chill out, dude. You look ready to collapse." Ichi snickered to herself as she jabbed Akuma's side.
"I do not." Akuma paused, meeting Ichi's sharp gaze. "Fine. This is the first time I'm going to see Iida since..."
"Since you told him you were soulmates, and he ran out to see his dead brother?"
Akuma groaned, pulling his hood down. "I don't want to think about it. What if he hates me?"
"I thought he said he was going to find out how he felt."
"That was before my talking to him stopped him from seeing his brother for the last time." Akuma sighed, his eyes drifting across the station.
Ichi shared a look with Izuku as he grinned, sneaking away. Flapping his tiny wings, Izuku flew above the students. "Ten-chan!" Izuku returned to his normal size, falling in front of Iida, who startled to a stop. "Morning!"
Iida blinked, clearing his throat. "Morning, Izuku." Iida waved formally as Izuku pouted, grabbing Iida's arm and dragging him forward.
"Ku-chan! Ku-chan! I found him!" Izuku showed Iida off as Akuma paled.
"Izuku! No. Let him go." Akuma rushed forward, picking Izuku up. "I'm so sorry, Iida."
Iida paused, almost flinching. "Iida?"
Akuma blinked, shuffling awkwardly. "I... I wasn't sure if... if..."
Izuku rolled his eyes, interrupting the failed attempt at an explanation. "What Ku-chan means is he's self-conscious that because of how things ended last time, you wouldn't want to be his friend, let alone anything else, so he wants to respect you and call you by your surname."
Akuma hissed, glaring at Izuku. "Izuku! Stop talking."
Iida stared at his hands for a moment before reaching out and taking Akuma's. "Akuma... I don't want to ignore what you told me, and I am not... But I have a lot going on right now. I can't think about it with everything else. I will think about it if you're willing to wait."
Akuma blushed, gulping as he nodded. "I can wait. Take as long as you need."
Izuku grinned, watching the boys interact. Iida had to leave first, something neither boy wanted. Izuku sat down on the train, letting Izuku sit on his lap as he ranted about the hero they would spend the next two weeks with.
"I still say this is going to be a bad idea." Todoroki was waiting at the train station as Izuku giggled.
"Sho-chan!" Izuku detangled himself from Akuma, hugging Todoroki's legs. Todoroki froze, unsure how to respond.
"Come on, Izu-chan. Leave him alone." Akuma held out his hand, taking Izuku away. "Lead the way, Todoroki."
Todoroki nodded courtly, turning and leading Akuma through the city. "You should know my father has found you interesting."
"Really?" Izuku's eyes sparkled as he stared at Todoroki happily.
"That is not a good thing." Todoroki turned the corner, leading Akuma and Izuku to the door.
Endeavour was waiting for them. Endeavour stared at Izuku, seemingly judging him as Izuku shrunk back in Akuma's arms. He was no longer excited to meet the number 2 hero. "Come with me. Slack off, and I'll cut you off." Endeavour snapped around as Akuma sighed.
This was going to be a long fortnight.

Panting, Akuma collapsed on the side of the road. Endeavour had kept them from having a break all day. The sun was setting. "This has to be breaking some labour laws."
Todoroki scoffed, sitting down beside Akuma. "Tell me about it."
Izuku yawned, nuzzling into Akuma's side.
"It's over, though, right?" Akuma looked to Todoroki hopefully as he laughed bitterly.
"Not even close." Todoroki smiled, taking the food one of Endeavour's sidekicks offered him. The cold soba brought a small smile to Todoroki's face.
"I wasn't sure if your familiar ate- or what he ate- so I have curry, soba, sushi and cat." The sidekick held out the different dishes as Izuku blinked, pulling a face at the last item.
"Curry's fine." Akuma smiled softly, gifting Izuku the meal. "Thank you."
Izuku grinned, thanking the sidekick loudly before gulping down his food. Akuma frowned, stopping Izuku as he scolded him for chewing his food.
"You two are so sweet together. It's really cute. You'll make a good dad one day."
Akuma blinked, looking up as he cleared his throat, scratching the back of his neck. "I've heard that before."
"You don't want to be a dad? Not that there is anything wrong with that! I just mean- I-I..." The sidekick flabbered around, lowering her head. "I just really like families, and you seem to be a good parent."
Akuma chuckled, rolling his eyes slightly. "It's okay. I like families too, but... being a dad isn't an option for me."
"Why not? It's always an option for those who want it!" The sidekick shot forward, her eyes sparkling.
"Well, I don't think me or my future husband particularly have the right stuff to make a child." Akuma chuckled to himself as the sidekick blinked, tilting her head.
"But isn't your quirk like magic? Doesn't that mean you can do anything? If you only want a biological child, couldn't you use your quirk to achieve that? And if not, you could adopt or have a surrogate. There are plenty of options." The sidekick paused, chuckling to herself. "You haven't thought about it much, have you? Guess that's the joy of youth. Denial." The sidekick sang the word, laughing to herself as she did.
Akuma, on the other hand, was staring into the distance. What she said, it was possible. Depending on the spell... Depending on the spell she used, it could be possible.
"I don't understand." Todoroki tilted his head, interrupting the conversation. "You said, husband..." Todoroki's head span as if he had been given algebra. "Is... is that allowed?"
"Of course it is!" The sidekick grinned, pointing to herself proudly. "Otherwise, my wife and I would have tons of problems."
Akuma smiled softly. "You have a wife?"
"Yep. Of three years now. Our anniversary is coming up, and I have the best plans ever! I will take her to Black Bat Cafe the day before our anniversary. It was the place of our first date. Then I'll surprise her with a trip to America. Her brother will pack up her bags, so she doesn't have to know, and I've cleared it all with her bosses. I've got a cat sitter and got all the money converted. I have even learnt a bit of English! It's going to be so romantic. We'll be in America on our anniversary at her favourite amusement park."
"It sounds amazing," Izuku praised as the sidekick squealed.
"It's going to be the best. She hasn't been to America since she was little, and I know she wanted to go again."
Izuku shuffled closer, talking to the sidekick about the park as Akuma turned to Todoroki. "You okay? You seem a little... taken back." Akuma eyed him up cautiously as Todoroki nodded stiffly.
"It's not weird... Wanting to be with a boy?"
"No. It's not." Akuma patted Todoroki's head softly as he slurped his soba, hiding his face.
"Hey, breaks over. We have places to be." Endeavour glared at the group as the sidekick sighed.
"Sorry, boys, it seems like this conversation will have to be put on hold."
Akuma stood up, picking up Izuku before glancing at Todoroki, who still hid his face.
"So, where are we going?" Akuma brushed Izuku's face, removing the reminiscences of curry.
"Just follow me." Endevaour stormed forward before stopping. "Not you, Shoto. Scorch, look after him." Endeavour grabbed Akuma, pushing him forward as Todoroki stared in confusion.
He and the sidekick- Scorch- cleaned up and headed back to the agency, always thinking about where Endevaour had taken the others.
