If I Die Young

The last leaf of summer had begun to shift its colors from green to orange. Trees growled and groaned as the wind picked them from branches. It was a rather hot day, and no cloud dared form. Animals chirped and huffed while three little boys sat in the fields. One picked flowers and smelled the tender scent while the others wrestled in the grass trying to pin the other. The two boys had very different interests than the other but liked each other's company, though the little blonde child would never admit it.

"Kachan, Kiri! I made something for you both!" The green-haired boy smiled happily as he picked up his creations. The flowers he had plucked were now weaved into tiny crowns. Kachan, the little blonde, turned to look over his shoulder. He scowled as he looked at the crown in the other hand.

"You put that on my head Deku and I'll stomp your teeth in," the little blonde growled. Deku didn't recoil in fear or even flinch. This was normal for Kachan, however, Deku never minded. Kiri huffed at Bakugo's response before reaching for his gift from the greenette.

"Well that wasn't very manly of you," Kiri growled playfully as he placed the flower crown on his black-haired head with a toothy grin. Deku just smiled in return and put Kachan's crown on the ground.

"Well it's a gift, Kachan, you can do whatever you'd like with it." Deku giggled as he saw the irritated gaze of his friend, but Kachan didn't respond. Then a bell started to chime followed by the sound of Kachan's mother calling for the three boys. Deku stood to his feet and trotted towards the large barn house in the distance.

"Come on Kiri, I'll race you!" The little boy laughed as he sprinted away with a head start. Kiri laughed as he sprinted after him, not lagging too far behind.

"Hey, shitheads wait for me!" Kachan cried as he took a step or two before turning around and picking up the flower crown. Debating where to put it he decided to just wear it before turning on his heels and sprinting towards the house.

Kachan quickly caught up with them pulling ahead just enough so he could win. The boys quickly reached the house where the blonde's mother stood waiting with a smirk. Kirishima patted Bakugo on his shoulder congratulating him on his win as Deku took a few deep breaths to fill his lungs before returning the smile at Kachan's mother.

"Izuku your mother is on her way, go get washed up," she said politely before turning to her son. She gave him a squint before giving a slight smile. Kachan returned it with a frown before looking at Deku. His eyes widened but the smile on his face would make puppies cry.

"What are you looking at shitty nerd!" Kachan yelled but Izuku just laughed before turning back into the house to wash his hands.

"Katsuki Bakugo! Watch your mouth you brat!" His mother scolded as she sighed in defeat. She wondered how Izuku and Eijirou could ever put up with her son but didn't linger on that question too much. As she looked out onto the road a beat-up old truck had pulled into the driveway. Its dented exterior was undeniably Izuku's mother, Inko. As the truck pulled in and came to a stop the two women locked eyes. Inko's curly green hair matched Izuku's but her face was gentle. Her eyes were dark green like an emerald glistening in the sun. They exchanged glances before Inko stepped out of her vehicle, the scent of omega clear in the air. The wind blew in her curly hair, and the leaves flowed around her but she smiled all the same.

"Hello, boys, where's Izuku?" She greeted kindly as she walked toward the porch. Katsuki just huffed as he folded his arms aggressively.

"Deku is inside," he grumbled, but Inko just smiled. She glanced over at Bakugo's mother and her features tensed. The alpha female looked her way with a light smile.

"Thank you again for watching Izuku, I promise I'll pay you-" Bakugo's mother held up her hand. Enforcing that the omega should stop talking. With a wink and a smile her hand descended and she let out some calming pheromones.
