Never ever in Neverland
"Come over, it's happening again." I say crying my eyes out.
"Sure, fort in ten minutes?"
"See you" I say climbing off the bed making my way out my window.
Now, you're probably wondering who that was, let's just say that's my knight in shining armor Jason. Jason and I started out as the little kids in kinder garden always teasing and fighting, later through middle school we became friends and now best friends.
After about five minutes I arrive at the fort which basically is a little wooden double story cabin we found when we were eight while searching for the dragon of the forest. Later we starting adding furniture and appliances to make it more of a hangout. We go here when things aren't working out back home, like now.
"Honey I'm home!" someone coming in yells in a falsetto voice. Jason.
"Hey Jay" I say still slightly crying.
"Why is my cupcake wrapper crying?" Jason says in a baby voice. Cupcake wrapper is actually a nickname he gave me when we fought over a cupcake and I ended up getting the wrapper.
"The same: family fight, yelling, cursing and crying, I'm getting sick of this Jason!" I yell letting a frustrated groan afterwards.
"Thing will get better I promise" Jason says in a whisper.
"How do you know that?" I say pleading with my eyes.
"Because I'm about to change that" he says with an evil smirk.
"How -" I started before being cut off.
"Run away with me" I stare at him shocked. He wasn't serious was he?
"Come on Chels it will be better than this dump, we can go anywhere we want with no one to tell us what to do. I have our savings and together it'll be enough, we can get part time jobs for the extra money and leave again." I hesitate for a moment before looking him straight in the eyes.
"OK let's do it, leave it all behind be free" I say going for the door.
It's been five years since then and we're very happy. We're married with a funny proposal actually with Jason placing the ring inside a cupcake wrapper. This was one of the best decisions I ever made in my life.
