Time doesn’t last
We stood there gently swaying, all eyes on us.
“You look beautiful Danny” He softly whispered.
“Thanks” I replied.
“All right ladies and gentlemen, why don’t we let the love birds go on out and start their honeymoon?” The DJ announces over the microphone.
We separated and grabbed our things. Soon enough we were on our way to the final destination. Where to I don’t know, Kyle has been keeping that from me all this time.
“Will you please tell me now?” I groaned as we went through the gates of the wedding venue.
“Wait and see love” he replied stopping at the intersection.
I turn on the radio and All About Us by He is We starts playing. The moon is shining brightly in the sky, everything is just perfect.
“Danny?” Kyle asked making a left at the stop sign.
“Yeah?” I replied looking straight forward. All this wedding stuff is really exhausting.
“I love you” He says with a smile, eyes shining brightly.
“I love you to- KYLE! Watch out!” I scream at the top of my lungs.
Dead ahead a truck is coming towards us with the driver passed out behind the wheel. Kyle swerves too late and the driver’s side is hit crushing everything underneath it.
That was the night I lost the person I loved the most.
“Hey, it’s me just stopped by to say hi. I miss you. Everything is just so lonely without you." I say letting a tear slip. "I miss the sound of your voice, your touch, everything about you. I need you but soon I will see you soon love. I promise.”
