The smell of freshly made rice and eggs wafted through the home. Jiro was the first one to wake up that morning. And much to his surprise, both children were still sleeping peacefully in the other room. "I thought they would've snuck out," he hummed to himself. A giddy smile grew on his face before he turned into the kitchen. "Might as well get breakfast started." Rolling up his sleeves, he prepared to start cooking.

Tenko was the first to be woken up by the smell. At first, he believed he was stuck in a lovely dream. He was surrounded by piles of fluffy white clouds. The gentle texture against his skin was enough for him to wish to never wake up. Letting out a small yawn, his fist rubs against his eye. It takes him a good minute to realize he was actually awake and not in wonder land. Allowing a soft smile to grow om his face, he rushes out of the bed and in search of the kind man from earlier.

Jiro was swaying side to side as he cooked. The sound of music could be heard in the background as his voice sung along with the melody. Old romance songs always seemed to be his go-to while cooking. Even ones that weren't in Japanese seemed to wiggle their way into his playlist. He could almost be considered fluent in English and French at this point.

In the midst of his singing, he failed to notice the tiny footsteps behind him. A small set of eyes stared at him innocently. Tenko slowly inched forward as he fiddled with his fingers. He wasn't too sure what to do or if he was even allowed out of the bedroom. He debated on running back to Touya but the growling of his stomach urged him otherwise. Hesitantly, his hand reached up and gently tugged on Jiro's pants.

The sound of singing came to a pause as Jiro let out a questioning hum. His gaze drifted downward until it landed on Tenko. "Good morning blue, well I suppose I can just call you Tenko now," letting out a little chuckle Jiro made sure nothing dangerous could fall on the kid. "Would you like to sit on the counter so you can see what I'm doing?" He asked over his shoulder, doing his best to stir in the miso paste.

Tenko thought about it for a moment before nodding, lifting his arms above his head he waited for Jiro to lift him up. L/n had to resist the urge to coo as he picked Tenko up and placed him on the counter. He did his best to touch Tenko as little as possible, he may not have known the kid for too long but it wasn't hard to see he had some issues with physical contact.

"It looks like your friend isn't up yet," Jiro peered around the corner at the closed bedroom door. "How about helping me make breakfast? I don't think I can handle it on my own." He smiled before handing Tenko a bowl of cracked eggs that needed to be beaten.

His hands visibly froze as the bowl came in contact with his skin. He was so caught up in this make-believe world that reality seemed to escape his mind. Tenko could only watch in fear as the bowl came in contact with his skin. He was sure it would be over, everything would just go down the drain.

Closing his eyes shut tightly, he waited for the familiar feeling of ash to coat his finger tips. He waited and waited. Only wondering what horrid punishment he'd be given for not being able to control his quirk. Would this man be like his father? Would he get mad too?
