Chapter 3

You opened your eyes slowly and sat up, looking around. You were in your parent's guest bedroom, which was rather comfy. You looked to your doorway and screamed in surprise. "Wakey wakey~" Paimon cooed. Lumine chuckled and you sighed, rolling out of the bed(literally).

You shot up and shivered, shutting the door in both of the girls' faces and opening the closet to change. You snatched your outfit and armor and slid it on easily, opening the door again to see Paimon and Lumine smiling smugly.

"What?" You hummed. "Nothing~" Paimon cooed. You rolled your eyes and followed them out, greeting your parents and eating a quick breakfast with them. After you were finished, you left. "So what am I doing today?" You asked Lumine. "You'll be meeting some new people. And then Kaeya is taking you on a mission." "A..mission? What am I killing then?" Paimon laughed and you looked at her with confusion.

"What? What's so funny?" "Nothing, you're not killing anyone, just checking out a Fatui camp! Kaeya and Jean think that with you there, it'll give them the message that you've been saved and you're not part of the Fatui anymore!" You sighed and rolled your shoulders with a shrug. "Welp! Let's go and meet Amber." Lumine piped.

You followed the two and waved at a girl with bouncing brown hair. "Hi, you must be y/n! I heard a lot about you, Kaeya used to mention you all the time like "do it for everyone who has sacrificed themselves for Mondstadt, like y/n!" or "they were such a good fighter..and a good friend. They'd be able to help us." like HOLY CRAP! But it's nice to meet you!" She smiled, shaking your hand.

"Heh, it's nice to meet you too." You chuckled. "I should take you to Good Hunter sometime! They have the best Sticky Honey Roast and-" "Amber!" Paimon shouted. "Hm? What's up?" She asked. "Y/n already knows about all that. They grew up here, remember?" "Ohh, right! I forgot about that!"

You smiled and reassured her that it wasn't a problem when she began apologizing. "Oh! And there's Noelle, y/n! Look!" Paimon screeched, pointing to a young lady in..maid armor? "Noelle! OVER HERE!!" You winced and the girl looked over, smiling and waving.

"Come over here, this is y/n!" Lumine chirped. The girl jogged over and bowed to you respectfully. "I've heard a lot about you, y/n! And I've seen your pictures in the halls of the Cathedral and the Knights Headquarters. You look as stunning as ever." She smiled sweetly.

"Aw, thankyou! I'm very glad you think so." You said, holding your hands together. "Of course. And please, if you ever need assistance with anything, just call my name!" You nodded and Lumine turned to Noelle, talking with her quietly. 

"Y/n!" Kaeya hollered. You turned your head and smiled, waving to the three girls. "I'll see you all later!" You chirped. "BYE Y/N!!" Paimon screamed. "Bye!" Amber, Noelle, and Lumine yelled.

"You know where we're going, yes?" Kaeya asked. "A..Fatui camp?" You squeaked in confusion. "Mhm! Cmon, let's not waste time." He huffed, picking up his pace. "Fast as ever, I see." You commented. "Slow as ever, I see." He sneered. "Oh shut up.."

You poked your head out from behind the tree and Kaeya rested his chin on your shoulder, humming. "That one?" You asked. He nodded and you cracked your knuckles, hopping in excitement. "Well, well, well, aren't you happy~" He cooed. "Quiet, you. You'll take those ones, I'll take these ones." You ordered.

"Yes, your majesty." He teased. You rolled your eyes and he ran off, pulling out his sword. You walked over to the other troops and waved. "Eh- General y/n!" The sergeant yelled. The team turned to you and saluted. "At ease, men. You need to evacuate the camp, it's being ambushed." You said. "What? But General, we can't just leave our troops behind!" "Unfortunately they're being taken care of, so unless you want to spend the rest of your days rotting in a jail cell, I suggest you leave."
