This chapter is a bit shorter, only 1000 words long
You waved to Noelle as she left the library in search of something to clean. You were currently just reading some books on your day off. "Goodmorning dear~" You heard Kaeya's smooth voice greet. You looked up and smiled softly as he approached you and kissed your cheek.
"Miss me?" He hummed. He had been gone since yesterday on an overnight mission to Falcon Coast. "I did." You replied, pushing his hand off when he ruffled your hair. "I missed you too." He chuckled, sitting beside you. "What are you reading?" "Just a book I found." You yawned, handing it to him.
He looked at the cover and bit his lip slightly, nodding. "A book on the legends of Mondstadt?" He asked, raising a brow. "It's interesting!" You protested, snatching it back. "You always were interested in the unknown." He teased.
You scoffed and rolled your eyes as you continued to read. "Captain Kaeya! I have the morning reports you asked for!" A knight called out from the door. "I'll be up there in a minute, put them in my office please." The knight nodded and left.
"I need to leave again." Kaeya sighed. "Are you going on another mission?" You asked, placing your book down. "Unless something big happens, I'll be leaving tonight to go to Liyue." "Really? I could come with you!" "No no, we're dealing with a crap ton of Ruin Guards, I don't want you getting hurt." You mumbled under your breath and leaned against your hands, staring at him.
"Oh don't look at me like that, I should be back in the morning." He reassured. "If you say so." You grumbled. "I'm gonna get back to work now. I love you." He hummed, kissing your head. "I love you too." You smiled, watching as he left.

Lumine and Paimon looked at the camp, gazing at each other with uncertainty. "Are you sure there's no one here?" Lumine asked. "That's what Katheryne said.." Paimon mumbled nervously. "Right.."
The blonde crouched down slightly and silently made her way to the camp, Paimon floating close behind. "Careful.." Paimon whimpered. "It's fine, I think Katheryne was right."
Lumine looked around, just to make sure, and nodded, glancing at Paimon. "It's alright, no one's here." She smiled reassuringly. "OH THANK THE GODS! Paimon was scared out of her mind!!" She girl gasped, taking a deep breath in relief.
Lumine shook her head and laughed quietly, walking under a covered wooden canopy with stacks of books and papers underneath. "Help me look through these," Lumine told Paimon. "GOT IT!!"

Scaramouche led the troops closer to the city and smiled wickedly, turning around. "No one will attack the city or surrounding villages. If I hear anything about that, I will make sure you regret it! We are here to retrieve General y/n and General y/n only. Now let's go!"

Lumine narrowed her eyes as she found a few notes that had your name on them. "Paimon, look at this." She hummed, handing the paper to the girl. Paimon read it carefully and her jaw dropped. "What is it??" The blonde demanded, taking the paper back.
Captain, I am taking your troops with me to Mondstadt. We are going to retrieve General y/n after the alchemist's campsite in Dragonspine is taken care of.
- Lord Scaramouche
Of course, my lord! May I ask what for? Also, the reports that you asked for are at Campsite F, if you haven't found them yet.
