1. 𝙅𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙖 𝙠𝙞𝙙

Ella watched her parents with a frown as they packed some clothes for a mission on a island that her parents kept a secret. She didn't know where it was or how long it will take for them to finish it.

"Do you have to go? Anna needs you...I need you." Ella said looking at her parents and they both stop what they were doing.

"Is only going to be for a couple of days and be back as soon as possible." Grace said with a smile holding her daughters chin. "Anna won't be alone, she has you to protect her." Her mother said and Ella sighs.

"I'm just 18 mom, I still struggle to keep my powers hidden because they get stronger-." She gets cut off by her dad to help her calm down when the room was starting to feel cold.

"Shhh, we know sweetheart and we promise you that we'll practice some more when we come back." Arthur said with a smile rubbing the back of her hand gently calming her down.

"Okay." Ella said with a small smile and watched them leave the room to Anna's nursery saying goodbye to her. Ella waited by the door to see them off and hugs her parents. 

"You'll be fine, Ella I know it." Arthur said with a smile as he hugs her taking out a book from a secret portrait. "This is was your grandfathers book, he had the same powers like you and had some keys of how to control it." He said and Ella holds it with a nod.

"I love you Ella." Her parents say and Grace kiss her forehead. "Stay safe the both of you." She said as she gets out of the house.

"Same with you both, please stay safe and come back home." Ella whispers waving goodbye to them as they take the car, she stayed outside until they were out of sight.

"Please stay safe." Ella said again repeating herself hoping that they will be fine as she leans on the door once she comes in looking at the photo of her parents holding Anna while Ella was in front of them with a big smile.

Ella was making funny faces to Anna laughing as she heard her giggles, she holds her in her arms making sure she won't fall. Ella stops her actions when she heard a knock making her stand up heading to the door making sure to look outside to see who it was, her eyes widen seeing a familiar person to the family.

"Mr. Rick? What are you doing here?" Ella asked confused on why he was here but stops for a moment seeing her parents hero outfits in his hands destroyed.

"No...please tell me they're okay!" Ella said her voice cracking and Rick looks down at the ground sadly.

"We looked on their last location and this is what we only found Ella, no sign of them but there was blood." He said and Ella shakes her head at the news and trying to make sure that Anna wasn't dropped.

"But you didn't find any bodies so that means their still a chance they're alive." Ella said having some hope in her that they were alive.

"They're gone Ella." Rick said not wanting Ella to have high hopes and come out with disappointment and sadness with the results if she makes a decision to find them. Ella stayed silent and backs away from Rick to sit down on the couch, suddenly she breaks down in tears holding Anna tightly. 

"Gone." Ella whispers through her tears and Rick puts the clothes on the table gently, he takes an letter addressed to Ella from her parents if there was a high chance that they won't come out alive from this mission.

"I'm sorry for what had happened Ella, will be making arrangements for the funeral. This was left for you by your parents and I was told by them that you will be living in another house with the Parr family as neighbors." Rick said genuinely knowing what it feels to lose a family member since he lost his wife and son on a mission as well.

"I like to be alone, please." Ella said making Rick nod in understanding leaving the house making sure to have some agents keep the house safe just in case who ever kill the Blake's won't come after the kids.

Ella close the door behind her making sure it was locked and takes Anna to her nursery after coming back from the funeral.

Anna had cried at the end of the funeral crying for their mom making Ella almost crying seeing her parents grave even if it was empty with no body. Ella puts Anna in her crib wiping her sister's tears away gently holding her cheek.

"Is just you and me Anna, just us alone." Ella said her voice wavering feeling scared and alone with this, she didn't have any living family on her father's side and her mother's side of the family technically dishonor her because she married Arthur. "How can we do this?" She asked herself finally able to cry as she was holding everything in because she wanted to be brave for the both of them.

"I'm just a kid." Ella said as she sites beside the crib holding her knees to her chest feeling everything coming down and thinking of how she can handle it all.
