Katniss POV
We walk down the hallway to Peeta's dorm. Finnick opens the door and sets me down.
"I said to ask her to come here. Not kidnap her." Peeta says making me smile.
"What? Is this bad?" Finnick ask. Peeta shakes his head and stands up, walking over to me and kissing my cheek. I smile. "I'll leave you. I must find my beautiful Annie." He sighs and gracefully strolls from the dorm. I look to Peeta.
"What....was that?" I ask making him smile.
"She studying theater and acting." He says sitting down. I nod and look around. I see many pictures over his bed, one with three little boys. One is the oldest, then next to him younger and next to him the youngest. Peeta. A woman and a man stand smiling behind them. His parents. His mother, bright blue eyes and light brown hair and his father ashy blonde hair and dark blues eyes. "My family. My parents and two older brothers. Danny and William."
"You have brothers?" I ask surprised. "You all look alike." He smiles and nods.
"William is 27 and has two daughters." He says pointing to another picture with William, a woman I'm guessing his wife, and two little girls. "Riley and Bonnie."
"And Danny?" I ask.
"He lives in Canada." He says. I look at him confused. "He works up there." I nod.
"And your here?" I ask. He nods and stands up.
"I wanted to take you somewhere." He says holding out his hands. I nod and take it, standing up and following him out of the dorm building. We walk down the sidewalk and away from the collage grounds. I giggle.
"Where are you taking me?" I ask. He chuckles and shrugs.
"Who knows?" he says. I smile and we keep walking, a good 20 minutes before a woman and man stop us.
"Peeta Mellark?" she asks. He nodss. "This way please." he looks to me and nods as we follow the two into a large building. We walk through and to the elevator. We get in and ride up to floor 28 before getting out. I look around and its dresses and jewelry as far as the eye can see.
"You can pick something out. I thought for the dance you should get something really nice." he says. I gasp and look at him shocked.
"Peeta...this place is way to expensive." I say shaking my head. "I can accept this." he shakes his head.
"I'm not rich but I can afford something for you. Come on, its a gift and you have to accept it." he says smirking. I sigh but smile, starting my way to look around. Never had I ever thought this would be his surprise. And how did he find this place?
"May I ask what you would like? Or what you have in mind?" the man asks smiling.
"Umm...its for an upcoming dance in my collage. I need something...classy but modern maybe?" I say. I'm not very into dresses but this is something I should at least try at.
"Aha....we have a section over here." he says leading me over to a whole new part of the store. "All for dances, prom, parties. Color in mind?" he smiles again.
"I would like....orange...or green." I say. He nods and picks out a bright orange dress, going down to about my knees, straps and a little white belt at the waist. I smile and take it.
"This is something very good for dances, its flexible, stretchy and keeps you cool." he says looking around. "And this one." he pulls out a green, strapless dress that I'm guessing goes down to about...mid thigh. Maybe lower. Not my thing at all. I shake my head.
"I love this one." I say looking to the orange dress. He nods.
"I'll give you the fitting shoes for it." he says. I tell him my size and Peeta and I wait for him to return.
"This wasn't necessary." I say looking at him.
"I wanted to get you something nice Kat." he says smiling. Little Katniss jumps and hits me for saying that. Then he returns. I take the dress and shoes and go to a dressing room. Getting in on is pretty easy, its very comfortable. I put the shoes on and take a breath before leaving the room, letting Peeta and the man see. They both look breathtaken when they see me. Is it that bad? Does it make me look fat? I try to look at myself a little.
"You look....gorgeous!" the man says. I smile and look to Peeta.
"Beautiful." he says smiling. "You look so beautiful Katniss." I blush and look down.
"Really?" I ask nervous. He walks over to me, getting a closer look and resting his hands on my shoulders.
"Really you do." he says. "How much does the dress cost?"
"Well....normally 500$." he says making my heart drop to my ass. "But....because your such a sweet couple and you have a loving boyfriend...I'll sell it to you for....250$" he says smiling. I look to Peeta.
"I'll take it." he says pulling out his wallet.
"Peeta! Thats way to much money!" he says but she shakes his head and hands it to the man.
"Anything for you and its not the much. I get way more from my grandparents just to stay good in college." he says smiling. Geez....way to say I'l richer then you Katniss. I can buy anything. I take it off and the man packs it up. We leave the building and start our way back to the collage.
"You really didn't need to spend 250$ on me Peeta." I say. He sighs and stops.
"Katniss Everdeen. I would buy you the world if I could. You deserve this. It want you to look dashing at the dance and steal the show from all other girls." he says. I blush and smile. "There, the smile I love. Now lets get back. Its getting dark soon." we start back. As happy as I am and as much as I don't want this or my time with Peeta to end I have this twisted knot in my stomach warning me something bad's gonna happen...soon.
