It was just dawning. I was in ancient Rome. I had on a red robe, and eyes on the back of my hands. I had seen this man- he had arrived in a blue box. I remember thinking back to my journey to become a sister. It had begun when I saw a vision of the blue box. I was 16, and still living with my family in Pompeii. I was consuming one day, as a sister had told me to. I fell into a vision. There was a man called the Doctor. He came with a woman, who failed at speaking our language. They had come to the marketplace, and running off through the market, left behind the blue box. Someone had sold the box, and for a pretty penny. I communicated to my sisters of this new thing. It had been foretold that there would be a man with a blue box, and here he is.

I followed them through the market as they explored and saw what we had. I cannot understand the fascination. It is our home, nothing more, nothing less. Why were they so excited at the simplest thing? This was just our home. We have visitors, of course, but even they are not as in awe as this woman was. Eventually they had come back to where they left the blue box. It was gone, to their surprise. The man turned to a vendor "Did you sell the blue box?"

"Course I did."

They went to find it, and came to the house of Caecilius, the marble man. He had bought the blue box. His daughter was destined to be a seer, like I. Her name was Evelina. She had been consuming daily as we instructed her to do. She was well on her way to being a soothsayer. When Lucius Petrus Dextrus came to the house, the curious man showed him the sculpture in a new way. Lucius Petrus Dextrus calls him out by another curious name- Gallifrey, and it scares the man. A shaking came, and the house was kept. Then Evelina called up a god, and while the others tried to destroy it, we sisters claimed the woman, as she claimed to know what would happen the next day. We would wake up, we would go to bed. Nothing strange would happen. She told Evelina that the mountain would explode.

At the sisterhood, we brought her to the sacrificial table. Ut falsum arguens, quod morieris, our mother chanted above her, raising a dagger to plunge into her chest. We stood by, holding hands, when a man appeared. All of us gasped and came together. He had a curious object in his hand, and then he released the woman with a strange buzzing sound. He talked to our mother, and saw that she was stone. It was a gift from the gods....
