A couple of uneventful days later I was getting my bandages removed for real. Clearly whatever medical treatments they had for pokemon were borderline miracles because I felt great. Though from the tone of Ms Rhia's visits it felt like there was some hassle she was dealing with in regards to taking me out of here. Not like I could do anything really, all I did was nod in agreement when I was asked if I was fine with this. The Nurse Joy told me that the wound from the horn along my left side would probably scar. I was feeling great about all that. I think having one big scar is kinda cool to be honest. I was a bit apprehensive about the one who I would be leaving with. Like I have stated before. She doesn't seem bad though. Right now, that is absolutely good enough for me. After everything regarding me was handled, Ms Rhia showed up and entered the room I was being kept in. Aside from any delays brought about in her attempts to get a real response from me, the process of checking me out of here didn't take very long. She seemed a little worried about my habits of being extremely simplistic in the ways I was responding to things though.
Thankfully I got to walk out of the Pokémon center thing on my own four paws, much to the dismay of the staff at my stubbornness to walk out. It was a bit unsettling walking on the artificial surfaces of the building. I can't really describe how it felt, but it was weird. I walked just fast enough that I could follow Rhia at a comfortable pace. She didn't mind and even seemed to be playing along with my attempts at doing so, looking back at me every so often. Occasionally slowing down if I fall too far behind.
After an objectively short trip through the halls of the Pokemon center, we eventually did exit the building. Though it was't as cold as my home on the mountains, it was still cold enough for for there to be a layer of snow under my paws when we stepped outside. I'll admit, the snow felt far better than the tile of the pokemon center. I enjoyed it all the way until I felt the paving of what I could see was a small parking lot. I carefully walked on this new surface, inspecting it subconsciously while I was following Ms Rhia. We shortly reached a somewhat small car. It looked taken care of but well used and like it's tan coat of paint was missing it's younger days.
Rhia opened the back door on the side we approached from while I stared at it and said, "Do not worry, this is only an item used for transportation."
'She must think I don't know what it is...' I thought to myself, interrupted by her speaking up.
"Do you need help in getting inside," She asked with a genuine tone.
I gave the least rude scoff I could and made my attempt at jumping into the vehicle. Clearly my medically induced vacation from serious exercise was more of a hindrance than I assumed because I just barely missed the miniscule hop, almost slipping my front paws off the seat inside and slamming into the metal frame and solid pavement. Through some miracle though, that pain never came and instead I was being helped inside the vehicle by a slightly amused Rhia who gave my suppressed embarrassment at the realization a short giggle.
"There you go," she said as she set me semi comfortably on the generic car seating.
She gave a smile before closing the door then getting in the vehicle herself. Looking around the interior, there wasn't much to be said. The inside of the car was, while generally tidy, gave the same feeling as the exterior. Well used and owned for a long time, smelled like it too. Though there was no indescribable odor that can't be fathomed. It just smelled like this Ms Rhia person. Though some of the inside features looked just a bit strange but I couldn't say why. I moved around a bit on the seat to find my preferred place to lay down as Rhia was preparing the car to move, getting as comfortable as I can in this unfamiliar vehicle just as it began to do so.
The car ride was most definitely not smooth by any means, but it was far from unbearable. From what I could see looking out through the window, we seemed to be in a small town just judging by the set up of what I'm seeing. The layout of what I could see wasn't very compact. Definitely had that vibe you get from an aged and established small town just from the look of the buildings. That were becoming smaller and less dense as we moved. I moved toward and put my front paws up on the door to get a better look outside in time to see that we were further and further from the large groupings of buildings.
