The intense smell and sharp stinging of antiseptics, made all the more intense by my acute senses. Loud but focused chatter and what I could only say felt like not quite human hands, from how it felt like the individual or individuals who were handling me were having difficulties. I had extremely blurry and unfocused vision at best, not even really able to make out shapes. I couldn't really tell why, most likely crying involuntarily from the most extreme pain I've felt in this life of mine. That was what I very momentarily regained my consciousness every so often to experience. Seemed like I'm receiving medical treatment of some kind. I would probably have struggled if I could just to be spiteful about it. I couldn't though, my injuries coupled with my unknown distance running had drained me of that kind of energy. I could only slip in and out of consciousness to cough and to remember to breathe. All I could make out was that each time I opened my eyes even slightly the lighting was different. On my last attempt at fighting for consciousness my senses were assaulted with extreme light and the sickening smells of a sterile environment. The environment of choice for medical facilities. Not a single thought past that crossed my mind until I regained consciousness an indeterminate amount of time later. I was on a bed or table of some sorts, couldn't tell you what it was specifically. Probably something made for animals and Pokémon. However I could say that the last thoughts I had before slipping under fully were definitely right, though the room I was in was dark. Despite any extra smells, it was definitely a hospital or emergency room facility of some sort. I was fairly certain that in my human life I had be hospitalized a few times. Not for getting almost killed by a strange Aggron mind you, but the point stands. I knew how the insides of hospitals made me feel. Didn't ever like them, though I usually had better mobility than now. I couldn't make heads or tails from much of anything aside from that, I was probably hopped up on painkillers or sedatives pretty serious for my size or something miscellaneous for my injuries. I couldn't pinpoint anything aside from the big gash from the Aggron's horn on my side, I was just in pain overall. I should just enjoy that much while it lasts and hope I don't feel like dying when it's gone.
When I finally woke up, despite my lack of energy, and became coherent enough to think properly I could feel the pressure of the plentiful amounts of what could only be bandages and padding for my injuries. With the realization of one particular set on my left front leg with an IV tube coming out of it. I was laying on my significantly less injured right side with a variant of one of those thin but warm hospital sheets everyone who has been in one would know. The largest drawback in my mind was that there were no windows to entertain myself with. Though I doubt that I would have been able to view anything distracting with how small I am anyway.
'Of course it had to be in my left...' I thought to myself, unsure why it just felt wrong to have the IV on that side. 'I just hope to... Whatever god or gods this is applicable to that the worst I get out of this is a few scars.'
I took my time in trying to look around without moving too much or too fast once my vision cleared enough to do so. This little act alone was enough to feel just how sore I really was in spite of any meds I had been treated with. I guess being scratched up and tail smacked by a metaphorical walking piece of metal will suck more than assumed. Anyway, it was worth it because I got to at least kinda see my see my surroundings. I immediately noticed that the bed thing I was on had what was basically a cage covering it and seemingly just attached onto it as a separate piece. Probably because it's hard to judge the demeanor of wild Pokémon I hope. The rest of the room was fairly small, but full of a few other machines that I did actually know were monitoring my body's condition that I hadn't noticed the existence of yet. The stuff connected to me to feed the vitals over as well. Just a bunch of stuff I don't remember the names for. There is no way to describe how much I wish I hadn't noticed them. The repetitive beeping and mechanical sounds were almost unbearable.
