Sam snuck away from the Daycare attendant while he was searching for more colors of glitter glue, and he snuck his way over to Cloud Corner. He was really curious about what was inside it, and was wondering if the supposed other Daycare attendant was inside it.
He snuck behind the play sets, slowly approaching Cloud Corner, his curiosity running wild. He had never been over here, nor did he remember Cloud Corner ever existing, but that just made him more excited. This was a new area for him, so that meant he could explore and have fun, experiencing a new place all by himself.
He crept to the entrance, which was like the opening of a tent, and he slowly pushed the fabric aside and stepped into Cloud Corner. As soon as he stepped inside, the traditional, happy Daycare theme that was playing on loop in the rest if the Daycare, was muffled.
The song that replaced it was unlike anything he'd ever heard inside the Pizzaplex. It was soft piano music, that was coming for a music box in a corner of the tent-like room. It sounded soft, but also a little raspy, like the song had been created years ago, and the old music box was getting to the end of the road.
Sam looked around the big room, and was amazed. It was so unlike the rest of the Daycare, it was startling. There were no play sets or ball pits, no bright colors or loud happy music, quite the opposite actually. It was rather empty in Cloud Corner, and the whole place was rather dark, all being colored with different shades of blue.
Sam looked straight ahead, and suddenly spotted a figure, sitting cross legged on the floor in the middle of the room.
Sam took a single step forward, "H-hello...?" He hesitated when the figure looked slowly up at him, and Sam realized it must be the other Daycare attendant, the one everyone thought was a myth.
"Hi..." Sam said again, hesitating on taking a step forward.
Moondrop tilted his head at Sam. "What are you doing here..?" Moondrop's voice was quiet and slightly raspy, but it didn't seem like he was mad at Sam for coming inside Cloud Corner.
"I-I was... sad... so I came to the Daycare to hide... but I lost track of time, and now I'm stuck here 'till morning..." Sam told Moondrop, finally deciding to take a step forward.
"Sad?" Moondrop asked quietly, and Sam nodded. Moondrop seemed to hesitate, but he slowly motioned for Sam to come over to him. Sam sat down a foot away from Moondrop, and listened to the soft piano music playing throughout the Cloud Corner.
"Why were you sad?" Moondrop asked, his voice still slightly raspy, probably from not being used in a long time.
"It was my birthday party... and uhm... my friends didn't want to hang out with me... and that made me sad, so I came here to hide..." Sam said a little sadly, remembering how his friends left him for Roxy Raceway.
Moondrop looked rather sad at this statement, and looked over Sam's sad face.
"Would you... like to stay here for a bit...?" Moondrop asked, quiet and raspy.
Sam smiled, and nodded. "I've never been here before," He said excitedly. "Could you, like, show me around...?"
"I don't know if there's that much to show.." Moondrop admitted. "Oh, but..." Moondrop stood up and walked over to a corner, standing by a light switch.
The lights suddenly went out, and in the darkness, Sam could see Moondrop's eyes flash red. He took a step back, and Moondrop quickly closed his eyes, shaking his head as though to get rid of whatever thoughts had come inside.
Sam started to get scared of the darkness, but thankfully it didn't last long. He looked up as the sky, or ceiling, of Cloud Corner was suddenly lit up with bright, sparkly white stars. In the middle of the ceiling hung a huge moon, which was shining the brightest out of all the stars hanging from the ceiling.
"Wow!" Sam couldn't help but be amazed at the beautiful sight. It was like he was really outside under the moon and stars, and Sam had to force himself to remember that he was inside the Daycare.
Moondrop walked back over to the middle of the room and looked up at the sight as well. "It's been so long since they were lit up..." He admitted.
"Why?" Sam inquired.
"Well... no one really comes in here anymore..." Moondrop said sadly, sitting back down on the floor in front of Sam.
"I don't see why," Sam said. "It's so amazing in here! All the stars on the ceiling, the music, it's just so... calm... in here."
