I was doing everything I can to change around my schedule so I can be on the next flight to Miami. My girl was celebrating her 21st birthday in Miami with her girls. Although the I know I can trust her to be a good girl I still don't think she should be there anyway.
It's not that Miami also paranoids me, it's that fact I haven't seen her in 4 months and I miss her a lot. Finally today was Y/n's birthday so I had to get last minutes gifts. Fortunately I was able to move everything and get from Chicago to Miami in the next 4 hours. I loaded the plane up with my stuff and her gifts and got there.
I didn't tell her I was coming and in fact nobody knows that I am coming. I got my phone and called her.
"Hey baby"
"Hey birthday girl. What you doing?"
"We just got in from a party."
"Really it's only 12 that early"
"Yeah people started fighting so we got out of there. we were going go somewhere els but everything is too pack so we going for a late night swim now"
"I'm glad you got out of that you know how I feel about you in those situations"
"What, me at the club or my actually safety?"
"I mean both"
"You don't like me at the club anyway"
"Hell nah, your safety is important to me" I said arriving at her door and for some reason her door is slightly opened already.
"Mmhm whatever. I miss you "
"I miss you too, I would miss you even more if something terrible were to happen to you" I said walking in she literally was walking out the room
"Why you say it like that?" Not realizing I was in the foyer.
"Because someone can just walk right into your room to kidnap you, the door is open" I said and she turned right to the door and looked at me shocked and scared. She screamed a little and then calmed down. I walked right over to her.
"Happy birthday baby" I said taking her into my arms. I then cupped her face and kissed her passionately. I heard her girls from the kitchen ewwing and telling us to get a room. But I didn't care the only one in the room that's important to me is Y/n.
"What are you doing here, I thought you had a show"
"No it's Sunday, you know I can't miss my baby special day" I said then kissing her again.
"I've missed you so much"
"I've missed you, I want to show how much I missed you" I said & whispering the last part because I took noticed out how fine she looked in this two piece. I'm ready to take her down right now. Fuck who's here
"I think I'm well do to some birthday fun" & once she said that I picked her up and took her to her room. I shut the door & I went to do work. It may have been an hour that went passed before we came down from our highs. I sat with my back against the headboard & Y/n collapsed right on me. I cuddled her into my chest. We were in silent for a minute. Nothing is better than good birthday business.

"Yeah baby"
"You flew all this way to be with me on my birthday, I can't tell you how much that means to me."
"You mean everything to me. There's nothing I wouldn't do for you"
"I love you"
"I love you too" I said & then we went back to silence. I heard her light breathing against mine. Then I managed to say something.
"Babe, I've been thinking about something"
"What's that?"
"It's something we never talked about before"
"Ok"
"I'm just saying it's been sorta coming in & out of my thoughts ."
"Ok what is it?" She asked impatient again
"Well, I've never asked you if you wanted to be married"
She was quiet
"That's why I never asked I was afraid you would do that & you did"
"No j it's not that, I'm just surprised you bring this up, normally guys don't bring that up"
"Why can't a man bring it up? Men can bring it up"
"Of course you can, it's just a double standard that's all"
"what you mean a double standard? I mean if you in a relationship with someone that makes you happy then why wouldn't you aim to want a future with them and just marry them?"
"I completely agree, im just saying that if a women brings it up it normally is like a instant pressure on the guy and it scares them away. That's all I'm saying. & im really shocked your thinking about it"
"Why I'm not the marrying type? Hmm you not tryna marry me?" I ask jokingly yet discreetly offended.
Y/n just looked at me seriously & now I'm scared because well maybe she doesn't want to get married.
"Justin do you seriously want to be a married man someday?"
"Yes I honestly do. Is that hard to believe?"
"No it's not, it's just...."
"Just what?" I said kinda get irritated that I think she thinking a differently of me now that I mentioned it.
"Hey calm down, I'm not being negative"
"You sound negative"
"Oh no baby.i don't mean it how it sounds. I'm very overwhelmed with joy that you are thinking about marriage & just so we are clear, we are talking about you & I as in a possibility we can be married right?"
"No the ruler of Venus I'm tryna marry......of course you"
"Yay" she said with this big smile on her face. I swear my girl is crazy. Why do I understand her so much the way I do.
"Yay is all you saying?"
"Yay......but in all seriousness when you said that it just made me pose this one question"
"And that is?"
"How do you know when we are both really ready for that big step?" She said seriously looking me deeply in my eyes. I looked right back into her brown eyes to say.
"I trust you, can you trust me?"
"Yes, full heartedly"
"I think we will know when the time is right.....we will just know. I trust that I know you well & I know I know myself well. & I know you know me well & yourself as well. One day it will just happen....& we will be ready for it" I said sincerely
"Ok....under one condition"
"What"
"Please promise me you will ask my dad first. No surprise engagements I can't handle that kinda pressure"
"I wouldn't do any other way. Of course I'll ask your dad's blessing. It's the least I can do. I mean I definitely didn't ask his blessing if I can grace your body in numerous ways possible like tonight....but in this case what dad don't know won't kill him right" I said joking and she laughed at my joke.
"Will your dad be offended if I asked for his blessing for a round 2 on his daughter? "
"Babe chill you not living right" she said laughing at me
"But seriously I'm feeling a round 2 of business"
"Not without presents first, then we will see how much you need to please the birthday girl"
"Oh it's like that huh?"
"Oh you bet"
Don't ask if we made it show and tell of her presents I got her right now. You can ask me after breakfast 😉
