I was excited about tonight. It was yet another date with Justin. We meet a few months ago & then reconnected just recently. I ran into him at a neutral friend's dinner party. basically got to know each other better there & just kept going from there. It's date number 5. We're just taking things slow & basically not expecting much from each other & I don't know I like to call it getting to know someone. Many people who have seen me & know me & many people have their opinions about him but I pride myself on having good judgement of character. I know he's no saint but people deserve chances. I'm not afraid to do that. Plus he seems interested so thankfully he's not wasting my time.
I was just finishing styling my hair. I finished my make up & then slid into my dress. Before I knew it I my doorbell was ringing . It was him which I knew. I hurried up & put on my heels & then got the door.
"Hey"
"Hey gorgeous...how are you?" Justin said to me greeting me with hug & kiss on the cheek. He then removed some flowers from behind his back.
"Tada"
"For me...aww your so sweet. How did you know I'd want lilies instead of roses?"
"I sorta peep through your Instagram it kinda gave it away, I hope you don't mind "
"Stalkerish...but I'll make an exception just this once"
"Oh really just this once huh?"
"Yeah" I said with a smile & then I looked back at the lilies
"Thank you. I'll go put these & water & then I'll grab my bag so we can go"
"Ok" he said & then I walked straight back to my kitchen. I felt his eyes on me. I'm glad I got his attention. I finished with putting the flowers in water & then I went upstairs to get my bag. I cane straight down.
"Ready when you are" I said
"I've been waiting." He said & the. He led out first so I can lock my door. We headed to into the car to a nice restaurant. We had a private reservation at a nice restaurant . We ordered & just started talking a bit about what we have been up to. I asked him about his family dynamic, him living & growing up in Canada. He asked me about my work & if I like what I'm doing, he really inspired me to never give up on dreams that I had before. I can still make it happen. He basically didn't want me to settle in a career that doesn't make me happy. It was really nice to feel a sense of support from him. He also asked me about my friends & get a idea of what they are. We got distracted by the TV screens and talked about sports. He discovered my love for sports. I knew what I was talking about & he was I guess impressed .
We enjoyed our food & continued to talk some more.
"I want to show you something."
"Ok what?"
"We have to go there, come on"
So I followed behind him to the rooftop of the restaurant. If over looked the city & it was beautiful.
"Wow, how I'd you know about this, you come here often?"
"No actually my manager told me about this place......i asked for suggestions or where I should take you to & he said this place. I've gotta say I like it. This view is amazing."
