The world seems to have stopped rotating the moment I saw her face. She matured a lot in the short period of time we were apart. She now has a brown hair, her skin color became lighter and her height grew a bit.
Sera... My friend, my Sera
Dali-dali ang pagkaripas niya papunta sa direksyon nang makita ang posisyon ko.
Bawat hakbang niya ay pinapalakas ang tibok ng puso ko. There's two possibility; first, she'll let me explain and hear me out. Second, she will help me stand up and will leave eventually.
I hope it's the first one.
"Nirvana, what are you doing! Gosh, girl, what are you thinking?" nangangarag na saad niya at tinulungan akong tumayo.
I still haven't regain my full balance but I took the opportunity to hug her. She flinched due to my sudden action but I didn't mind.
Mayroong tumulong tubig sa likuran ko. Umiiyak siya. Until I felt her hands returning my embrace.
It was harm... It feels like home
"Nirv," cries Sera. "I missed you."
Hinigpitan ko ang yakap. "I missed you too, sobra sobra."
"Please forgive me," pakiusap ko nang my sinseridad.
"I have long forgiven you."
Those words brought me to cloud nine. Napatawad na niya ako.
Turns out she was on her way to visit me. She just had to cool off for a bit to be fully ready on our confrontation.
Nalaman ko na mayroon rin pala siyang pinagdaraanan noon. Personal conflict. She was having a silent battle, a battle wherein she was dealing with herself.
All this time, I thought she was deliberately ignoring my messages. Akala ko ay dahil mayroon na siyang boyfriend. Akala ko ay dahil nakahanap na siya ng tinuturing niyang makakasama sa habang buhay.
If there's something I learned from everything I've been through, always try to understand. Hindi natin alam ang nangyayari sa mga kaibigan, kapamilya, o kapwa natin. Be kind and understanding as much as you can. Besides, it will not cost you anything. Not even a single peso.
Sera was battling with personal conflict, Kai was having a financial problem, Ari was busy bonding with her fam, Ate Rei was busy on her studies. You see, if not having a battle, they are enjoying their life. I was too immature. Nonetheless, I am in no position to invalidate my feelings. I may have acted rashly but it was because I got hurt.
Everything is now over.
I was able to sail our friendship again. I was able to get our ship out of the island of misunderstandings.
Finally, after all the hardships, I can now breath properly again. I can sleep without thinking about my what ifs and my regrets.
"Stupid, you clicked the wrong button." I rolled my eyes at my friends.
We were currently in our house and watching a movie on my laptop. They just decided to budge in and create havoc.
The good part was that mom already knows them. Dahil sa halos araw araw na pagbisita nila ay nakilala at naging pamilyar na si Mommy sa mga pagmumukha nila.
"Sorry naman!" natatawang ani Ari.
Ate Rei asked her to pause the movie because she'll go to the restroom but this dear friend of mine, Ari, pressed letter M instead of the space bar. Then she was confused why the video keeps on playing.
