Today's Anne's birthday!

I groggily get out of bed, my hair all over my face. I quickly get ready, retouching my hair dye and my nails. Today's gonna be totally awesome!

As I get ready to leave, Marcy shoots us a text that she's studying at the library today, so she won't be at school. I can't believe she's skipping school to do more school.

The bus is boring and lonely, because Anne rides her bike to school and Marcy's not here. Good thing I have the cheerleaders, I guess. Gotta maintain my status, after all.

"So.. Sasha, who do you have a crush on? You can trust me better than, like, Lizzie or Ava." Myra asks. I freeze up. Do I tell her? I don't really know her that well.

"I'm dating someone right now, actually!" I finally blurt out, flipping my ponytail. Why the fuck did I say that? Now everyone's gonna be asking me about my boyfriend. And I don't have one.

"Why didn't you tell me? Spill the tea right now, girlfriend!" She squeals, grinning wide. What am I supposed to say?

"You wouldn't know.. them. They go to another school." I mutter. It sounds like I'm lying. I mean, I am. Anne does go to this school. But I'm not lying about dating someone, really.

"That's what a unicorn tastes like. Corn syrup!" Anne snickers, sipping her unicorn latte and grinning. I pull out my phone and text Marcy, because I notice she said nothing about Anne's birthday.

Turns out Marcy found a perfect birthday gift for Anne, so we're gonna meet up and get it. I'm so excited! Just gotta convince Anne to go, of course. She's such a loser sometimes, but it's cute.
