"Mia!"

I snapped out of my trance, looking for the source of the sound. My eyes suddenly landed on Adam, who was practically jogging towards me with his arms spread wide. As soon as he got to me he engulfed me in a tight hug, and I obviously hugged him back. I was so surprised to see him I almost didn't think it was real. 

"Oh my God what are you doing here?", I managed to say, forgetting about all the bad stuff I was thinking about. 

"I thought I'd surprise you", he smiled proudly, "I ran in to your friend Elle when I was out and asked her where the next gig was"

"That's so sweet of you", I said sincerely. He then pulled out a cute little Teddy bear from his pocket and placed it in my hands. I made an "aww" sound and gave him a hug, thanking him for being so sweet. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the boys chatting away. Emerson glanced at me and gave me a small wave, while Remington was giving Adam death glares. I waved them over and they jumped off the stage. We were currently setting up at the venue, but there wasn't much to do anymore so we could just chill until the show.

"This is Adam", I gestured over to the tall handsome boy, "and this is Remington, Sebastian, and Emerson"

They pretty much all exchanged small hellos and fist bumps, apart from Remington of course. Adam tried to be as nice as possible since it was his first time meeting the boys, who were pretty much like brothers to me. Him and rem didn't exchange so much as a small glance towards each other, and we could all feel the tension. Adam was just trying to respect the fact that I didn't want them two to fight just because of what was said during that argument a week ego, so he kept his distance, whereas Remington just gave him endless death glares for no apparent reason.

"Come on", I said to Adam, "ill show you around"

He smiled and I took his arm, dragging him in the direction of the green rooms.

"Wow this place is like, really cool", Adam said just as I was finishing giving him a small tour of the venue.

"I know", I smiled at him, "the doors are gonna open soon so all the fans will start flooding in and you'll see exactly what I was saying earlier about them being super crazy. Oh and I'm on merch, so I get to see all the excited fans first"

Adam smiled at me as he took my hand, following close by as I lead us back to where the stage was. The boys were just doing their final sound checks and they honestly sounded amazing. Emerson was drumming away pretty hard, getting himself in the mood for the show, while Sebastian was strumming away and bopping his head to Remington's singing. They were going through a portion of Lonely as everyone else watched them finish off their final checks.

"They're pretty good", Adam said from beside me.

"Just wait until the live show, they're fucking amazing", I beamed.

"Which ones your favourite?", He asked randomly.

"I never really thought about that. I love them all equally I guess"

"Even Remington?", He quirked a brow.

"He has a good voice", I shrugged and he scoffed. 

"He might have a good voice, but he's still an asshole", He said just as sound check was done and everyone began doing something else. I tried not to acknowledge what he said. I knew Remington was an asshole, it was clear from the moment we met. But there was still something about him that I couldn't help but admire. 

Emerson waved us over from the stage, sitting on the edge of it with the other two following soon after. 

"You guys were amazing, tonight is going to be insane", I cheered, and out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw Remington smile at me.
