"What was that?", he questioned.

"What was what?", I asked confused.

"That thing Remington did during the last song"

I knew exactly what Adam was on about but I decided to try and lie my way through it. Well... Its not entirely a lie if I don't know the truth myself.

"Oh he always does that, it's mainly to get the crowd going wild, but it also looks good on Instagram", I shrugged and he nodded, still a little skeptical.

We were backstage at that point, just chatting about the concert, when all of a sudden it felt like a heavy weight had dropped on my back. I grabbed hold of whatever was on me, almost falling backwards. When I finally turned my head, I found a smirking Emerson clinging onto me for dear life.

"You're so lucky I didn't just drop you", I said and he laughed, jumping off my back.

I glanced over at Adam, who looked a little awkward, maybe even a little jealous?

Before I could say anything, I felt Emersons head directly next to mine, his hand going up to my ear to cover whatever he was going to whisper.

"Don't wanna ruin whatever you have going on with this guy, but you and Remington definitely had a moment back there"

I pushed him away from me and he laughed, knowing full well it would get me flustered.

"So how's it going with Elle?", I retorted rather loudly. Emersons eyes went wide, and he began shaking his head at me as if to tell me to shut up.

"What's that about Elle?", Sebastian spoke up from a few metres away, making his way over with Remington.

"Emerson... Talking to a girl?", Remington laughed while Emerson punched him.

"It's not like that", he put his hands in his pockets and tried to shrug off the fact that he'd been caught, "at least I'm talking to someone rather than being a chicken"

Remington quickly stopped smirking, no longer enjoying the conversation.

"What's that supposed to mean?", Sebastian asked, sounding quite clueless. There was a moment of silence before it looked like a light bulb had gone off in his head, "oh shit yeahhh"

They were both smirking at that point, almost ganging up on Remington. Rem scoffed, crossing his arms over his chest.

I gave them all a weird look, "What's going on?"

Remington avoided eye contact, and the other boys just smiled and shrugged.

"Well if you're not gonna tell me I'm going back to the bus, I'm tired", I stated, dragging Adam behind me by his sleeve as I guided us back towards the bus, ignoring the boys and their stupid snickers. I'm not in the mood for games tonight, and honestly, I prefer when someone just tells me something straight up rather than being secretive.

We walked back to the bus in a comfortable silence, bumping shoulders every now and then.

When we were back inside, I put the kettle on and asked Adam if he was hungry, but he just shook his head. There was no one else in the bus, so it was pretty nice and quiet compared to when everyone is in the bus. That's when everything turns in to a shit show.

"So how was your night?", I asked.

"It was great, I really enjoyed seeing you again and just catching up on everything. And, to be honest...", he paused, thinking intently, "I know we don't know eachother that well, but I really like hanging out".

"I feel the same", I smiled at him, "it's not every day that you meet someone so chill and cool", I shoved his shoulder gently and he chuckled.

"I'm sorry I haven't asked this before, but you're not seeing anyone are you?", he asked and I shook my head no. He smiled and put his arm around me carefully. It felt nice, but I also couldnt help but feel like there was something missing.

"If it's okay with you, I'd like to get to know you a bit more, maybe take you out sometime?", he asked. I pretended to think about it for a bit too long and we both just ended up laughing.

"That would be nice", I finally answered. What harm was there in giving it a try? If it didn't work out then that's fine. But right now I needed to get my mind off everything and finally try something that might be good for me, "So, is this gonna be kinda like a long distance thing?"

"Well, I guess it will have to be for the time being, seeing as your touring and stuff. But I can drive to see you"

"Yeah definitely, and then when it's over I'll have lots of time off", I said getting up from the couch we were sitting on. I went to go make myself a hot chocolate since it was a bit of a chilly night.

Just then the door to the bus swang open and in burst the boys, singing loudly and chatting even louder.

I almost had to cover my ears to block out the noise.

"Oh shit didn't reali- oh my god are you making hot chocolate?", Emerson lowered his voice while he came over.

"Want one?", I asked and he nodded like a lost puppy.

"Me too", Sebastian added.

"Me three", Remington raised his hand from beside the fridge, a mouth full of strawberries.

"Fucking hell anyone else?", I laughed, getting out more mugs and making 10x more hot chocolate than I initially anticipated.

Once they were finished, I gave everyone their own mug and they thanked me greatly, as if no one had ever made them hot chocolate. Well, let's be real, they love getting the princess treatment.

I sat back down next to Adam. He snaked his arm around my shoulders, pulling me in closer. I could feel the boys glancing over but they didn't stop their conversation about what they were going to eat for breakfast.

I felt Adam get his phone out of his pocket, checking the time. It was already 12:30am, even though it didn't feel like it.

"I better go, I've got to get to work tomorrow. You're still in the area tomorrow right?", he asked and I nodded with a smile.

"Okay ill see you tomorrow", he said getting up and fixing his clothes. He kissed me lightly on the cheek and then said his goodbyes to the boys before walking out of the bus and shutting the door behind him.

"Oooooooo", I heard Sebastian squeal from beside me as I elbowed him in his side.

"It's not even like that", I told him.

"Come on, he's like, all over you. He surprised you today, got you a gift, even kissed you on the cheek for God's sake", he threw his hands in the air. Emerson kicked him in the leg and gave him a look which I didn't really know how to read. I sighed, knowing there's some truth to what he's saying, but there's just something about it that doesn't feel quite right.

"I don't know Seb. To be completely honest, I'm not sure if I'm as into him as he is to me. Maybe I'm just scared to get too close to someone after what I've been through already", I said honestly, earning a few looks from each of the boys as they listened to me having a mental crisis.

"Maybe you just haven't met the right one yet", Emerson joined in on the conversation, plopping on the couch next to me and squishing me between him and Sebastian. I laughed at his stupidity before trying to push him off.

As Emerson and I were having a little fight on the couch (which mainly consisted of me trying to sit on his head and squish him), I glanced up and caught sight of Remingtons face, which was pulled into a slight smile. Even though the eye contact was brief, his face quickly dropped and he leaned back against the counter, downing the rest of his hot chocolate and breaking eye contact.

What's gotten into that douche?

He then walked towards the other end of the bus, where our "bathroom" was (don't know how it's considered a bathroom to be honest), and locked the door behind him. I realised I was looking a little too long in that direction as I felt a nudge on my arm. When I turned, Emerson had a smirk on his face and wiggled his eyebrows at me, which obviously earned him a punch round the arm.

I'm really gonna kill this boy one day.
