Character reader/you pov

"No," I say, looking back at packard and squeezing him a bit harder, the others hesitate to point their guns at me.

"Put him down" James repeats, I try not to follow the order and instead focus on Packard "Please," he says catching me of guard and making me turn back to him.

Did he just say please?

Hank now stands to right of me and I can feel his eyes on me.

He puts his left hand on my right shoulder and his right hand on my own hand that was around Packard's neck, cutting of most of his air way.

Hank's actions make me look at him and he shakes his head gently pulling at my hand.

I sigh and let Packard go, but glare at him as he massages his throat, coughing as he takes big gulps of air.

My hand trembled from the amount of restraint it took me not to go at him again and kill him properly this time.

James pushes me back behind him so he stands in front of me.

Either to keep me safe from Packard or to keep Packard out of my sight so I didn't murder him, but now all I could see was his back.

The hand he had placed on my arm was still there, now that I wasn't strangling Packard it was all I could focus on.

His hand was rough but he held me as if I'd break if he wasn't gentle.

Now not to stop me anymore, but more to know where I am.

"How about I take the civilians to the boat and you do whatever," James proposes, snapping me out of my thinking. That's not what he says is it?

Packard agrees to that and leaves with his soldiers.

I clench my fists hard, trying not go after him and kill him myself.

Clearly James felt my muscles tense under his hands cause he turns to look at me questioningly.

I don't bother to give him an answer, as I breathe calmly

The 'civilians' start to go to the boat and Hank walks in front.

Mason and James wait for me, both look at me with concern

I look at them and shake my head, Mason nods with a look of understanding and turns to go and catch up with the others, but James on the other hand is a bit more hesitant.

"I'll catch up," I say, not exactly sure how I'll find them.

He still looked hesitant but left.

I stood alone in the forest for a moment listening to their footsteps as they faded and the wind blew lightly taking some leaves with it.

I sigh letting out my wings before I go up above the clouds so I had a clear view of the sun.

I flew through the clouds and around then as a way to calm down.

Every time I flew through a cloud it felt like mist but denser.

The air up here was a tiny bit thinner and made things go away.

I stop and just hover, looking at the sun that was setting before me.

The colours slowly changing from a warm orange to a purple.

Then I scream, scream as loud and as loud as I can.

Until I'm out of breath and I inhale, only to scream again.

I repeat it and I'm just a tiny bit calmer then before.

I feel lightheaded, which is an indication that I should go back down again.
