Readers P.O.V

"Ayato...." You whisper, while shaking slightly.

"It's been a long time, hasn't, (y/n)," he smirks, standing back to give you room to stand up, which you do.

As you do so you notice a white haired ghoul wearing an eyepatch mask, though this ghoul eyes weren't activated at this moment his steel gray eyes were staring at your (e/c) eyes. Those gray eyes....... they seem important some how...... then it hits you. Kaneki....

Now he was here you just wanted to disappear into nothing. Ayato....... The ghoul who left you nearly five years ago and Kaneki....... the half ghoul who left you about two years ago were standing in front of you.

The difference was that Ayato knew you. He knew you. He knew all about you. He knew the real you.

"Sorry," you mumble, "Im not avaible right now so um.... Im acually meeting up with my friends Hide and Touka, so if you would excuse me-" You try to quickly walk past the ghouls. It didn't matter if they trahsed the place. All you knew was that you had to get outta here. And fast.

"Nice try, princess," an arm grabs you and stops you from moving. You snap your head up and glare at Ayato.

"Let go of me you bastard," you hiss through your teeth quietly, "I dont want your ghoul germs all over my human body," and with that you rip away your arm away from his loose grasp. As you do your phone falls out of your pocket as you recive two texts. You watch Ayato pick up your phone, "THATS NOT YOURS!" You call out, but that doesn't stop him. All you can do is watch him.

You only get an evil smile in response, "Okay, see you in a few, tell Uta I said hi!" He mimicks Touka's voice as you grit your teeth, then he opens the next text, probaly from Hide, "Okay my best friend nerd! That book store is pretty big, so dont go running off if I'm late, I swear every time you, me and Kaneki met up I would spend ages trying to find you guys! Anyway after I'll take you out for burgers, my treat, Luv ya!"

You gulp as Ayato throws the phone on the floor and smashes it into millions of peices, "so, a new boy friend?" He asks, stepping closer to you, as you step back. More and More ghouls enter the shop.

"He's just a friend!" You argue as your back hits the wall, "he's my best friend Hide!"

You watch Ayato frown in disgustm, then suddenly smirk, "burgers hey? But I thought they always made you feel sick?" He asks, well more states.

You look down as he says this, then you suddenly hear a male ghoul call out, "Ayato, if you dont mind us asking, what does the one eyed owl want to go with a human?" This seems to widen Ayato's grin.

"What a good question, what would he want with a human? Has anyone else picked anything up yet, Kaneki?" He turns to the white haired ghoul. So you were right, he is kaneki.... well a more built version of him.

All Kaneki does is clutch his fists together.

Ayato shrugs this off then takes an even closer step to you so you could now feel his breath on your neck, "well, (y/n), what would the owl want to do with a mere human girl, do you have the answer?" This was going to end badly. And you knew it.

"Probaly wants to eat me," you mutter more to yourself than anyone else.

"Wrong, why dont I tell them?" You feel anger boling up inside you, "my friend, is a-" Ayato doesn't get to finish his sentance as you kick him in the gut away from you.

"YOU BAKA!" You yell, your confidence suddenly back.

All the ghouls snap their heads to Ayato then to you. Kaneki looked like he was staring at you with wonder more than surprisement like the other ghouls. He knew you knew he was him, and you knew he knew who you are.

"I thought you would have gotten weaker over the years," Ayato snaps you out of your day dream, "since you had been convincing yourself you were human, weakling," he mutters the last word to himself.

Now the ghouls were staring at you with confusment about Ayato's comment about you pretending to be human. You just ignored them.

"If I'm a weakling how did I knock over the great Ayato?" You bow sarcastically as you get more and more starnge glances from the ghouls. Things such as, "how dare she?" "Does she know who's she's fighting?" "Probaly, they're acting like old friends!"

"Haven't changed these past five years, have you?" Ayato asks, "did you miss me so you changed yourself?" You look away, holding back tears. Yes, he was right. You didn't want to be reminded of him.

But you wouldn't cry. No. These empty promises won't make you cry.

You look back and glare again, "why would I miss someone like you! YOU...YOU.......YOU!" You don't finish your sentance as you fly at Ayato, but he's ready for you this time, as he matches your punch with his own.

"To bad I'm not aloud to kill you, not that I would anyway, since our history might mean something to me," he admits as you both go in for a kick, "not that I would like to admit that," and with that you fly across the counter and fall off at a ghoul's feet. Kaneki's feet.

"ARE YOU DONE YET? THE OWL WILL KILL ME IF YOUR NOT THERE BY 12:00AM!" Ayato calls at you, and you see him move towards you.

You jump up, "I'd rather die than go back to him!" Ayato pulls a confused face. The only thing that he didn't know about you was your family. Yep, to him that was a blank tile in your life.

You kick Ayato in the back as he goes in for a punch, and just as your about to kick him in the face, to strong ghouls pull you back and force you to your knees, and puts a foot at the back of your neck so your forced to look up.

Ayato and Kaneki enter your veiw, both emothionless now.

"Tut, tut, (y/n)," Ayato says, "you've been a bad girl haven't you?" He stops, his blushish hair falling in his eyes, and slowly smirks as something hits the back of your head.

As you slowly fall unconsious you hear one last finaly remark from Ayato, "or should I say, you've been a bad ghoul? You tried to hide it well, but you'll never be able to hide the fact your a ghoul from me. Ever."

And with that, darkness consumes you. And to you, the world has gone black. But what you didn't know, everything was about to change.
