So I saw some comments in the last chapter where some readers were calling David selfish because he has never done anything for Wale and Wale is the only one making the effort in the friendship. Before you conclude that David is selfish, ask yourself that since the book started, has Wale ever needed David to do something for him and the latter disappointed? Because oh well...

And this chapter is for Rokeebat_Eesuola my motivation pill 😂❤

NADIA

Dunni and Tania were professing their undying love for each other.

And by professing, I mean all the where have you been all my life? You're the one I've been waiting for, my life has never felt complete without you and all those yadayada nonsense.

They've been at it since morning.

So I was in their room because my roommate was around and she was busy turning the room upside down in search of only God knows what so my next viable option for some sort of solace was Tania's room except that it wasn't any better either.

It couldn't be any better when the two roommates were huddled on the floor, eyes poring over their phones and their fingers clicking away on their phones.

"I think you should go for this," Dunni told her and Tania turned slightly to look at her phone.

"Awwwww," She cooed, "It's so nice but I can't go for it."

"Why can't you go for it? It's so perfect and this color is going to pop on your skin."

"Yeah, I know it's going to pop on my skin," Tania replied, her lips stretching into a smile she couldn't control, "But I can't pick it because of the neckline. We can just look for similar designs in the same color but with a different neckline."

Dunni kept staring at her quizzically.

"But there's nothing wrong with this neckline," She told her, her eyes darting to assess the cloth they were talking about on her phone again, "If you're skeptical because you think it's too low cut, it's not..."

"No no, that's not the problem," She countered Dunni's assumption as she pushed herself up to a sitting position, "It's not too low cut at all."

"So, what's the problem?"

"It's... It's... I'd prefer it to be more low cut."

My brows raised quizzically and my expression almost mirrored Dunni's except that her lips were stretched into a somewhat cunning smile as she pushed herself into a sitting position too.

"Why?" She asked Tania, the smile growing bigger on her lips and her eyes growing cunningly thoughtful as the seconds ticked by.

I could tell that wheels were starting to turn in her head, I just couldn't tell what wheels.

"All the dresses we've picked are perfect," She started the explanation that I was sure would be all shades of ridiculous and childish, "But we've not picked any that'd expose my cleavage the way I want."
