"-n. Y/n!"

You jumped out of your chair. "Uh-Yes-Yes ma'am!"

"I asked you a question." Mrs. Nerina crossed her arms, a stern look on her face.

"Y-You did?" You coughed. "Of-Of course you di-did!"

You had absolutely no idea that she did.

Since last night, after you had that weird dream, you could not focus on anything. Everything seemed unimportant. Everything except that dream.

It made you feel uneasy, because for some reason, why did it not feel like a dream?

It felt as though you were actually with her. You felt her touch, you felt her voice. Then why were you calling it a dream?

Because of course, it was a dream, what else could it possibly be? Both of them were dead.

Gone.

Either way, back to the present problem at hand first.

"Uh-Could you repeat the question?"

Your teacher raised an eyebrow. "Were you not paying attention in class?"

Of course, you were not. "Of course I was!"

"Then why do you not know what I asked?"

"I-Um-"

The bell rang. Before your teacher could tell the kids to sit back down, everyone rushed out.

You silently thanked whatever divine force helped you out.

However, the teacher still had her eyes on you. And boy she seemed annoyed.

She let out a breath and rubbed between her eyebrows. "Y/n, is something the matter? You have been highly distracted today."

My whole existence is the matter.

"Hmm? I'm not sure what you're saying. I'm completely fine." You put on a smile. "I apologize if I was not active in class today."

"I see..." She nodded. "Well, do better. You are one of the top students in our school, and we expect a lot from you. Do not let us down with your personal life.

Yep, no pressure at all. "Of course, I'll try my absolute best."

She grabbed her items and left the class.

You sighed and closed your text.

Everyone had left the class, of course.

Now you had to take care of cleaning up.

Obviously, it was not your turn. But obviously, the person who was supposed to do it today bailed. And considering how you were the last person to leave the class, it was now your responsibility. It always was yours. And if you didn't do it, you'll be the one getting yelled at by your home teacher tomorrow.

You were the class monitor after all.

You put your books inside your bag and placed in on the table, then headed to close the windows.

The sun was still high, it was only 3. The school would only be empty by late evening, club activities and everything.

You should probably go to your club and spend time there, but honestly, as long as you submit what you have to, they couldn't care less. Though, it would be nice to maybe go and hang with them.

You were part of the art club and sculpting club. These were the only clubs that let you do your work at home, and then just submit it later on if you wish. And that worked just fine for you, you couldn't stay back too long, getting home late would only lead to questions and suspicions, and you were too tired to deal with that.
