"This is the riskiest thing I've ever done. But I like it!" Zaatar smiled and spared through the sky, casting a shadow on the Troblin guards. As soon as the guards noticed the absence of the sun, they looked up, some fainting from shock. Zaatar laughed at them from above, which made Wren feel a little better. He swooped down, knocking the remaining Troblins down with his tail. Wren jumped down from Zaatar's and to her surprise, he transformed into a Troblin!
"Woah. How am I gonna tell you apart from the others?" Wren asked. Zaatar pointed to a very unique diamond crusted dagger in his pocket. And with that, they jumped in the hole into the heart of Gurr. Troblins were in heavy armor, walking around the jewel encrusted mine with swords as big as cats. Wren hid behind the hood of her cloak, letting it cover her pale face entirely, hoping the Troblins wouldn't notice the tall black figure. Unfortunately, one of them came up to Wren.
"Ah, Daeva. Welcome back. We have missed you. Our plans for the shard are almost complete. Would you like to see our progress?" The troblin said, his voice raspy and squeaky. He bowed low to the dirty ground, and Wren began to feel uncomfortable. She gulped and tried to make her voice sound different.
"Lead the way."
Zaatar gave Wren a confused look before she was whisked away. Thoughts were racing through her mind, like who Daeva was and if it was the human from before. The Troblin led her down hallways and tunnels, until Wren became dizzy from all the twists and turns. Finally, they had arrived. The heart of Gurr with this mysterious shard. It was a peculiar piece of rock, it looked like a purple crystal that instantly reminded Wren of the Jule. She tried to piece everything together, but it seemed too risky to ask, "What is this shard for? And where did you get it?" because the so called Daeva might already know about it. She decided on staying silent. However, she heard footsteps and a shadow of a woman was shown on the rock wall. Wren gulped, decided what she should do. If she fled, she would never find her way out. Gurr was an inescapable maze that only the Troblins could make their way through. But if she stayed, who knows what they could do to her? Before she could think of a game plan, a sly voice said,
"Hello, Wren."
