⋆Can't find the fucking author, but awesome Timothee Chalamet painting <3

☾*✲⋆.
"Kuroo?" I ask with surprise.

"Y/n." He greets and lets himself in.

'How does his hair stay up despite being wet?' I question to myself.

"It's raining outside and Kenma told me you lived nearby, so I asked for the location. I thought you could offer me some help."

I look out the window and notice how much it's raining.
"Yah, sure. I'll grab you a towel."

I head to the bathroom and start looking for a clean towel.
As I'm squatting over the drawer I hear drops of water falling on the floor and a light knock on the door.

"You didn't have to come all the way here." I tell him but he seams distracted. He's looking at my sink, where I threw the blade.

"What's that?" He asks.

"Oh, this? Nothing really." I answer. "I should really start cleaning this house, I keep finding the most random shit in the most random places." I say with a smile, hoping he doesn't think much of it.

He smiles back at me, but I think he saw through my lie.
Thankfully, he drops the subject.

I finally give him a towel.
"You can take a shower to warm yourself up, if you want." I offer.

"Only if you join." He says in a joking and flirty way.

I chuckle and walk out, he follows me to the kitchen while wiping a few raindrops off him.

"Then, how about some tea to warm yourself up?" I suggest.

"Yes, please."

He sits on a chair near the table waiting for the tea. Right after it's done, I pour some for him and some for me.

Before we can start a conversation my phone rings.

"Hello?"

"We're just calling to tell you that we're on our way to visit you. We expect to be welcomed with dinner."

I'm startled, to say the least. "Sure, mother. Is your boyfriend coming as well?" I ask.

"Yes. You should get your boyfriend there as well."

"Uh- I don't have one." I tell her.

"No need to lie now, come on, I'd love to meet him."

Fuck. "Seriously mom, I don't have one."

"Yes you do, no need to be embarrassed, I want to meet him."

"Ok, fine, he'll be here when you arrive."

"See you then." She says and hangs up.

"I need a boyfriend for tonight." I tell Kuroo.

"I'm sorry, sweetie, I already have plans for tonight." He informs chuckling.

"Well, then can Kenma pretend to be my boyfriend tonight?" I question.

"I believe he's free. I'll give him a call, while you clean your house." He says, looking around.

Ouch! He's right, though.

"Thanks." I thank him and start cleaning. He eventually joins me in cleaning, which was very nice of him and really needed.

I'll be keeping the girl's necklace for now, it's pretty and it suits me.

After me and Kuroo finish cleaning up the flat the doorbell rings. My heart practically jumps out of my chest. I'm just praying it's Kenma, not my parents.

Kuroo opens the door. "Kenma, welcome!"

"Hi." he says, quite bluntly. He walks in and looks around with a weird look. "How did you clean this so well? This was such a mess. Congratulations!"

"Thanks" me and Kuroo say at the same time.

Kenma nods in response and heads to the kitchen to put down some bags he was holding.

Kuroo takes his leave after we all say goodbye.

"If you don't mind me asking, what's in the bags?" I ask with curiosity.

"I just figured you didn't have any food and passed by my grandma's, so I brought a fresh home-made dinner that we could say we cooked ourselves." he explains taking some food out of the bag and putting it in plates neatly.

"Kenma, you are a genius. Thank you so much!"

The doorbell rings again, right after we set the table.

We both make our way to the door and silently put some fake smiles in our faces. As I open the door, he wraps his arm around my waist.

"Good evening!" My mother greets, kissing both mine and Kenma's cheeks. Her boyfriend repeats her words, gives me a hug and gives Kenma a handshake.

"Hi!" I say as nicely as I can and Kenma does the same.

I make the introductions and we go take our seats around the dining table.

After dinner my mom wanted to have a talk with me, so she kicked her boyfriend and Kenma out of the kitchen for us to do the dishes alone.

"Why haven't you been as interested in school lately?" My mom asked me with distrust in her voice but a smile on her face.

"What do you mean?" I try gaining some time for me to make up a lie or a believable excuse.

"Oh, you know... Skipping, never on time and don't even get me started on your grades, my dear." she says with the same smile and venom lacing her voice.

"I haven't been feeling very well lately. I've been feeling a little sick. I'm sorry, I'll get better." I decide to tell half the truth, hopefully she doesn't get mad at me. Maybe she'll understand.

"I've been feeling quite sick myself... But it's sick and tired of your bullshit. If you don't get your grades up next test, I'll make you go back home." she warned.

"I will, mom, I promise."

She scoffs. "You sound just like your father. Always with those empty promises and your eyes always glued to the floor, your voice low, as if you're the fucking victim!" She raises her voice a little.
"You know, all I do is for this family's sake. I only try to look out for you and help you. I sacrificed so much for you and for that pathetic excuse you used to call father. But somehow, you two always managed to turn me into the bad guy. If anyone is a victim here, it's me!"

She takes a break from her screaming to put down the dishes.
I stay quiet. It's better to not say a word in this situations.

"Now that I think about it, neither of you ever did anything for me while I did everything for you.
Your father was a fucking crybaby, not that you'd remember, you were too young to know him and you were always staying with your goddamn friends as if I didn't take care of you. Making our family look bad. You never failed to disappoint me and everyone else in your life."

She takes a deep breath and lowers her voice "It's only a matter of time before you fuck it up with that cute little boyfriend of yours as well."
