Summary: In hindsight, he shouldʼve expected that even if he was not an exception to the peculiar ways a human worked, he was no ordinary person. He didnʼt even know for sure if he was human or just pretending to be. But he didnʼt give that topic much thought, choosing to ignore it in favor of somehow making sense of the situation he was currently in.
Or: Chuuya has a fear of heights. He obviously keeps it hidden from everyone. Dazai, for once, not knowing of this, decides to play a prank on Chuuya that goes horribly wrong, extremely fast.

Chuuya was not an exception.
Though, his secret was much more subdued than what he imagined othersʼ like. It was honestly an irrational fear of his, discovered the same day he tried out his ability for the first time with a fully conscious mind. He didnʼt know how to explain it, but the sudden waves of anxiety that hit him whenever he took flight were something heʼd always tried hiding from others. Even himself, sometimes.

It all started with a bridge.
That goddamn bridge. If Chuuya was a tiny bit more insane, he wouldʼve blasted the bloody thing all the way to space but as it was, he couldnʼt do that. Especially since it went against all his morals and Boss also wouldnʼt exactly be pleased with him at the situation, even if the redhead explained the exact circumstances leading up to him having such vicious thoughts.
The duo consisting of Double Black were sent on a mission together well into the night. Despite the truce between the two organizations, they were still mortal enemies. One Nakahara Chuuya and Dazai Osamu were not uninvolved in this chaotic war going on between both organizations. But due to certain unfortunate conditions, their members sometimes had to partner together on a few cases that involved both the ADA and the PM.
Todayʼs case was an aberrant one, described by Chuuya himself in such a way. Though that wasnʼt where his little predicament occurred. The case was actually ridiculously easy to deal with, despite the dangers associated with it.
