Before entering the Gilbert house, Lena is on the phone with Hayley, while Elijah is discreetly listening to it.
"So how are things in New Orleans?" Lena asks, wanting to be up to date.
"They are quite alright. Everyone is maintaining peace and Melody is practically leading everyone in town. She doesn't get enough sleep though. Something is going on with her, it is like she is going to be sick, I don't know I just hope she will listen to me when I say that she has to take a break from all the work" Hayley responds, concerned for her twin sister's well-being.
"She should really take a break" Lena replies with a thoughtful expression.
"You know what. You and Melody should pack your bags and take a break from New Orleans. You should come to Mystic Falls, there is an old friend of mine that I want you two to meet" Lena says with a joyful smile on her face.
"Really?" Hayley asks surprised.
"Yes really. I will text you the details and everything later"
"Yes of course. Goodbye mom" Hayley responds with a beaming smile.
"Goodbye sweetheart", and with that she ends her call and turns to Elijah.
"So you are going to introduce me to your daughters?" Elijah asks with a happy smile.
"Yes, I am. I think it is time that you finally going to meet them" Lena replies, "but enough chit chat. Come on and let's talk about our plan with the doppelganger Elena"

Elena goes down the stairs and finds her aunt Jenna searching trough the closet.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Elena asks.
"Perfect timing" Jenna replies, giving her a packed box.
"What is this stuff?"
"Your mom's files from the Historical Society. I got roped into helping Mrs. Lockwood and by roped, I mean very excited to participate" Jenna says in a sarcastic tone.
She closes the door and Elena sees Elijah standing on the other side with an unknown woman.
"Hey, I'm Elijah Smith"
"and I am Lena Luther" introduces the couple themselves.
"Elijah's in town doing research on Mystic Falls" Jenna replies to Elena's questioned gaze.
"It's a pleasure" Elijah says and they shake hands. Both vampires aware of Elena's nervousness.
"So you're welcome to stay here and rummage through this stuff or Elena and I could help you load it into your car" Jenna interrupts Elena's train of thoughts.
