Early Jomon period, six year old Num had just came back from a fishing trip. Squishing and crunching was all his ears heard. He dropped his basket from his arms when he saw a Shinigami and his father. He tried to run, but the Shinigami came from the left and slashed their chest. They fainted from the blood loss. The demon healed his wounds and wished him well.

Water floors and a dark place, it seems so eerie and unpleasant. He ventured on until a tongue came and picked him up. "Why are you in my realm?"asked a figure with black pupils and brown iris. "Huh?" Was Num could answer. The tongue unraveled and the boy fell back into the water floor, slamming into the floor like concrete. The realm turned white, revealing the monster's true form. It was a black mist with a beast face and claws peering out. It asked the same question, but got a different answer. " I don't know." The beast told the boy his name was Haruki and that he was a spirit that punished the sins of selfish people. Num fell into darkness and let it succumb him. What awaits when it's finished?

Num woke up in a futon, only bloody bandages wrapped around his torso. He was sure he was wearing a shirt when he got here. The boy just sat there thinking about what the hell happened today. They just went fishing and saw the demon, then met another demon, then woke up here. On a small table laid a folded shirt and boots, so he put them on.

Outside the door was the beast from earlier.  He was invited for tea, and accepted the offer. "My father. Who is he really?" "A horrid man who hurt you so badly because you were a sick and weak boy." "I see. Well then mister, would a walk help?" The two walked outside to meet Hakuri's friends. The boy said his name was Num, and Hakuri said that was a nice name.

He met Aka Manto and his other friends. Hakuri was the Akuma of Jigoku and planned to give it up to the Shinigami that hurt his father. Num became his personal killer. A person who killed those because of another's sins. A spirit named Itami who was sealed within the boy. They killed with her help.

Num soon met his mother after a few years and did he love her. He had a sibling! And a father who cared! Every time he came over, they all gave him a big bear hug. Num's stepfather was a great cook, and a great person. They all died, and he paid his respects to them all. They were the best family he had. He wished them all well in Tengoku.

Soon after those events, the Eldritch God came and forcefully took Shinigami's throne. Num was outraged. He lost control on his abilities. In exchange, he had to watch the world grow old.

He met Kusonoki and his husband. As much as they didn't want to, they sealed Num. They had him sealed to forever wander the Earth as a lost soul, waiting for a purpose.
