We were now at our rival school. They're courtyard was huge and in the middle of it was a shiny red car.

An announcer in a gray suit stood near the car with a microphone. The courtyard was already full of people surrounding the car.

The announcers voice boomed as he spoke, "today we are having this competition so that we may end the original competition quicker."

Out of the three teams for each school, two teams for the other school made it. Only one for us which was Lief and I.

One of the teams were two girls. One had long, shiny, straight black hair. She also had onyx eyes with a royal blue, silky blouse. She was wearing a silky white skirt. The girl next to her had curly platinum blonde hair that reached her shoulders. She wore a red crop top with jean shorts and white Adidas.

The other team for the other school was two boys. One had black hair with green eyes. He had on a black shirt with jeans and navy blue sneakers. The other had wavy blonde hair. It was a bit long but it didn't reach his shoulders. He had on a blue t-shirt and black jeans.

We soon learned that the girl with the straight black hair was named Jess and the other girl was her bestfriend Chris. Jess was quiet while Chris -short for Christa- was full of energy.

The boy with black hair and green eyes was Jaden. His friend was Aidien. Aidien was smiling at everyone. Not jumping around but he gave a similar energy to Chris. Aidien seemed peaceful. I had heard from some other students that he was the best in their class. Highest grades, great athleticism. He must have a lot of pressure on him and -like me- this competition gave him a break.

Surprisingly there were no negative emotions. Even in exciting events like competitions there's always some sort of negative energy. Maybe they're just not in my radius.

The car had only had two rows of seats so we were definitely gonna be squashed.

The announcer had explained the rules. The competition was that we had to stay in the car for as long as we could. We would get ten minute bathroom breaks every twenty minutes. Whichever group held out the longest, won.

Pretty straight forward.

"Okay, all teams in the car," the announcers voice boomed.

Each group went to the cars. The boys for the other school took the front. Leif and I sat in the back, moving more in so that the girls could fit.

Leif grabbed me and put me on his lap. I gasped a bit in suprise but it did make it more roomy. The other participants seemed to also be surprised but they ended up ignoring it.

I still had a lot of energy since there were no negative emotions. My leg was bouncing and I felt Leif whisper on my ear. "You need something to do?" I quickly nodded and I realized he had a bag when he pulled out a book. It wasn't a reading book, it was a big book of math word problems to solve. He gave me the book and a pencil; I started to work on the problems. You know, doing school work is way easier when your not always mentally exhausted.

As I was on the tenth problem, I felt it. Negativity. My writing slowed to a stop. I looked out the window to see a boy with hazel hair fuming at the car. He had dark brown eyes with crimsion red glasses. He was wearing a bright red t-shirt with jeans, plus black and white sneakers.

Why was he so mad? He walked towards the car and I could tell he was conflicted. He was continually angry but I was absorbing it. I was getting drained. I had went to my house before this so I was able to absorb my mother's negativity.

Luckily I did because when I got hit with that negativity, I had a complete break down. I had some new cuts and my arms were now wrapped; hidden under long sleeves of my black shirt. I was wearing jeans while Leif was wearing black sweatpants with a green shirt. It was a dark green but not quite forest green. His sweatpants weren't the baggy kind. They were actually pretty thin and loose. Comfortable.
