I love train stations.
That may sound weird but they give me a cosy feeling, especially on rainy days. It's a nice feeling like nostalgia sort of.

I sat alone on a bench scrolling through my phone looking at every picture and video my friends have taken and uploaded to instagram.

I looked ahead every so often to check if any trains have arrived but all i saw was rain pouring down.

After a few more minutes or so I could hear the train arriving. I stood up and grabbed my stuff and put my phone in my pocket,I then made my way to the door and entered the train.

I walked down the aisle between the chairs and sat down on a front-facing seat in front of a table. I placed my suitcase by my feet and my duffel bag next to me.

It won't be another ten minutes until the train actually leaves so I grabbed my phone and headphones and fell into my musical world. My eyes drifted to looking out the window as I could see people entering the train and the rain calmly dripping down the window. I checked the time on my phone, only a minute before the train leaves.

It came to my attention that a figure was speeding her way towards the train doors. I could feel my heart beating fast from nervousness and anxiety. I was praying in my head that she makes it to the train before the door closes.

Luckily enough I saw her get in on time. I looked away from the window to see how the train was completely full now. I turned around to see the same girl who was sprinting towards the train looking for a seat.

"Are you sitting alone?"

I whipped my head around to see who was asking, oh yep it was her.

"Oh uhh yeah. You can sit here too-" I nearly started rambling on but stopped myself. She sat herself directly opposite me and place her two bags on the free space next to her.

It was a bit awkward for around ten minutes since we just sat there is silence. I was looking down on my phone whilst she was taking her drenched coat off and placing it by her feet. I then decided to make a bold move and spoke to her.

"I saw you sprinting to the train you're pretty fast!" I tried to joke.
"Thanks, I did sprinting a lot in high school." She let out a little laugh.
"So uhh where are you headed to?" I asked.
"Oh! University of London!" She smiled.
"No way I'm headed there to!" I responded.
"Cool! What course are you taking?" She questioned.
"Oh I'm taking history, how 'bout you?" I replied.
"I'm taking art and design." She said.

"I guess it's luck we met then." I remarked

We talked for a few more minutes about courses and stuff.

"I know this is really weird after we've been talking for about twenty minutes but what's your name?" I asked her.
"My name's Nya, yours?" She spoke.
"Jay." I said.
"Well hello then Jay!" She laughed.
"Hello Nya!" I joked.

We continued chatting for some time until we both felt sort of sleepy. Nya grabbed a blanket from one of her bags and wrapped it around her frame.

"I think I might attempt to sleep, goodnight Jay." Nya stated.
"Goodnight Nya." I replied.

She leaned her head onto the side of the window and cuddled with her blanet
