Omniscient

She wasn't able to move for a few seconds. Luciano's lips continued to caress her own and never having had her first kiss before she panicked and pulled away. She looked at him before storming out of their bedroom.

Luciano was surprised because he's never had a woman pull away from him. Understanding Nora isn't every woman, Luciano quickly started to feel guilty for kissing her without her permission.

The few days they spent together, Luciano found himself beginning to fancy Nora. He hadn't liked a girl before so it scared him a little bit. He hadn't agreed to get married for love but just to improve the family business. He planned on creating a friendship where Nora and him didn't have to love each other but still respected each other and were friends.

Nora didn't know how to feel about Luciano kissing her. She was laying down in the garden with her fingers brushing her lips. They felt almost tingly. She didn't know why she felt like this. She didn't know whether or not she liked it, although she didn't appreciate him taking her first kiss.

She never dreamed about it like how most little girls would. Their charming prince takes her out on a wonderful first date. At the end he would tell her how much of a fun time he had with you and how much he would like to do it again, then they look each other in the eyes while their heads get closer and closer before they both share a short and awkward kiss.

Of course Nora already knew her future. She tried to fight the inevitable by trying to convince her parents to let her pursue her dreams but every time they turned her away and told her she is only good for being a trophy wife. So they kept her locked up in the house and raised her to be the perfect housewife. Nora never got the childhood she deserved like how her brothers had thus she never got to have a first boyfriend. Never had her first kiss, never had a sleepover, she never even went to school. She was homeschool while her brothers got to go to school.

After thinking for a little while she got up and began going back inside the house. She closed the door behind her making sure to lock it and when she turned around she bumped into Luciano's chest.

"Nora." He said dryly.

"Luciano." She replied.

"I want to apologize for earlier, I don't know why I did it." He said, surprising her. Nora stayed quiet and let him go on.

"I know that's not a reason to justify why I did it but I apologize if I made you feel uncomfortable."

"That was my first kiss you just stole." She said with an icy voice and Luciano started to be washed with guilt. He didn't expect her to still not have her first kiss.

"I'm so sorry Nora, I honestly didn't know." He apologized to her before she walked off. She was really upset he stole her first kiss.

She walked down the hall aimlessly and had walked past a door that was slightly open. She took a step back and pushed it open and revealed that it was a library. Nora was stunned because no one had ever mentioned there was a library in the house. She went in and walked around looking at all the books on the shelves. Her fingers ran across the spin of the books and picked one up. She opened the book up and coughed from the amount of dust that filled her nostrils.

Clearly the library hasn't been touched in a long time but that didn't stop her from looking around. She was pretty amazed at what she found. All of her favorite classics and even literature classics she couldn't even get her hands on.

Nora

"I'm glad someone finally will put this room to use." I jumped from the deep voice before turning around. A tall man with dark features stood by the door with a lit cigarette. The library was dimmed so I couldn't see his face clearly but just enough to see the scar that ran down the side of his face.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"Wow, I'm hurt Luciano didn't mention me to you." He grabbed his chest. "I'm Giovanni , Luciano's best friend." He introduced himself by walking up to me.

"Nora." I put my arm out and he gladly accepted, shaking my hand.

"I know exactly who you are. Believe it or not, Luciano talks about you." He chuckled.

"Oh." I nodded while frowning.

"You like reading?" He walked over to a shelf and picked up a book.

"Yeah, ever since I could remember." I chuckled.

"Same, Luciano and I used to always be in here after school until he took over the family business." Giovanni sadly smiles.

"Are you in the business?" I asked.

"I'm the second in command, Luciano's under boss." He said before a noise at the door both made us look up.

"Speaking of the devil." Giovanni grinned.

"I've been looking all over for you." He focused his direction towards me.

"What do you need?" I calmly asked.

"My parents asked us to attend dinner." He said.

"Do I get to come?" Giovanni asked childishly.

"No." Luciano said quickly.

"Okay fine." He rolled his eyes and stomped out like a little kid.

"We'll have to be there in an hour." He awkwardly said.

"Okay." I dismissively said while picking up a book. The book was called Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. I remember reading this book for the first time in eleventh grade for English and it quickly became one of my favorites.

After a short awkward silence, he walked out and I took the book upstairs to the bedroom and placed it on the nightstand. I walked over to the closet , picking out a simple wine coloured dress and hanging it on the back of the door before getting ready for dinner.

Thank you for all the reads and votes!! plz tell me if you guys are enjoyed the book and what you think of it!
