4 weeks later.
I sit in math class trying to stay awake and take notes as best as I can. I haven't been sleeping much; because I've been feeling sort of sick lately.
Then I see Les stroll in half an hour late for class, and he sits in the desk next to me.
Les has blonde hair, baby blue eyes and is of average height.
Les has been my best friend since we were six; now were both seventeen and are both graduating this year.
"Cypress." I hear someone whisper and turn to see Les looking over at me.
"What?" I whisper back.
"Can I copy your notes?" he asks.
I look down at my notes and back at him, "Why don't you ever come to class early; to get the notes yourself?" I say.
He gives me an impatient look; the kind of look that says 'really?'
I roll my eyes and hand him my notes to copy.
"Thank you." Les whispers.
"Your welcome. What would you do without me?" I say sarcastically.
Les gives me that look again and I smile widely at him, and in return he chuckles.

After school I start walking home.
"Hey, Cypress, wait for me!" I hear someone shout.
I stop and turn around to find my friend Sarah; trying to catch up with me.
"Hey." I say.
She catches up to me and takes a deep breath before talking, "Hey, do you want to go to a party with me tonight?"
"No, not really. I've been feeling really sick lately." I reply.
"Oh, that sucks. I didn't want to go myself." she says with disappointment.
"Yea, besides the last party I went to with you; was weird." I say with memories flooding back to waking up in Les' room.
I cringe at the memory. It's not that Les isn't cute or anything; he's handsome, but, were best friends who should have never crossed the line and he has a girlfriend too. I never really thought about Les in that way.
"Why what happened at the last party?" Sarah says while breaking me out of my trance.
"What? Oh, nothing forget about it. You know what? I've got to jet." I say avoiding the question and run off.
"I'll talk to you later. Have fun at the party!" I shout and head home.
-------------
I finally make it home and head upstairs to my room. I plop down on my bed and close my eyes.
1 hour later.
I wake up and head downstairs to the kitchen.
I go into the fridge and grab leftover chicken from yesterday. I fix myself a plate and heat it up in the microwave.
I hear the doorbell ring and go to answer it. I open the door to find Les standing there dressed very nicely.
"Where are you going?" I ask curiously, and move to let Les in. I walk back over to get my food out of the microwave.
"I'm taking Farrah out for a date. What do you think about my new threads. Check it out." Les says while posing.
I laugh at this, while shaking my head and take a bite of my chicken.
All of a sudden the feeling of nausea creeps up my throat and tries to escape out of my mouth. I cover my mouth and run to the bathroom.
"The clothes aren't that bad." Les states.
I bend over the toilet and let it out.
Les comes over to the bathroom and says, "Jesus Christ, what's wrong?"
I get up and wash my mouth out with water, and wipe my mouth with a towel.
"I think it must've been bad chicken or something." I say with reassurance.
Les looked at me and says, "Ok, so really, what do you think?"
I shake my head in approval and say, "Yea, looks good."
I like how the shirt fits over his body, and how the dark blue blazer contrasted with his eyes. I thought.
I shake the thoughts out of my head.
I really am sick.
"Thanks Cypress. I've got to go," he says and starts to walk out, but, he peeks his head back in the bathroom and says, "If I were you I'd throw that chicken out. The nauseous green color doesn't go with your complexion." Les adds and leaves.
I shake my head and look in the bathroom mirror. I look at my long brown tousled hair and tired green eyes in the mirror.
Maybe It's just the stress of senior year; that's making me sick? I thought.
