2 years later.
I stand in a little room in the church, with stained glass windows, and the bright sunlight is pouring in. I stand there looking into a full length mirror and I'm astonished by how different I look. I marvel at how well the dress perfectly fits over my curves, and how my long brown hair is in loose mermaid-like curls.
My dress is mermaid style, with a heart-shaped bust, lacey finish and very minimal rhinestones placed over the bodice.
"Here sweetheart." my mother says while placing two tiger lilies behind my ear.
"Thanks." I smile.
"No, problem." she replied, "God, you look beautiful." my mother said getting choked up.
"Mom..." I whispered and enveloped her in a hug.
I felt something tugging on my dress and broke off the hug to turn, and see my little two-year old daughter Blossom, "Mommy." she said and I picked her up and held her in my arms.
She has grown so much and look so healthy too. She has a rosy pink glow to her cheeks, bright blues eyes just like Les, dirty blonde hair and most of all she has his lopsided smile. She's dressed in a white A-line dress, and it has a lace finish.
"Yea, baby?" I reply.
"Do I get a flower too?"
I take one of the tiger lilies out of my hair and place it in her curled blonde hair, "Of course." I smile.
"Thank you." she says, "Mommy, you look so pretty.
I put her down and tell her to go and play with Genie. Yes, Genie is here at the wedding. She and Fern actually go to school together, and I think he has one giant crush on her!
"One last thing!" My mother exclaims, "The veil." she adds and place the veil on my head; creating a long train of lace behind me, "Perfect!" she says.
"Thank you." I smile.
"So, what do you think Les will think when he finds out?" my mother asks.
I look down and see my small but noticeable baby bump, and I gently caress it, "He'll definitely be surprised!" I chuckled.
I found out last week and thought that the wedding would be the perfect place to reveal it to him. He's been wanting another baby and by baby he wants a boy. But, I'm sure that is it's a girl, she'll be loved just as much.
"Ready?"
"Yea," I said nervously, "Wait! I need something old." I said worried.
I already have something borrowed which is my Mom's charm bracelet and something blue diamond in the bracelet.
"Here, I took this from your old bedroom." she said handing me a picture.
"What is it?" I ask before turning it around, and see the old picture of me and Les rollerblading when we were eight.
"Oh my... Mom thank you." I say and give her a quick hug, "But where am I suppose to put it?" I ask concerned.
"Here," she says and tucks the picture into the back of my dress," There!" she exclaims.
"Thanks Mom."
"No, problem Hun. You ready?" she asks.
I nod my head and we head to the front of the church doors where everyone is waiting, and Les too.
As I get to the entrance to the ceremony, my best friend and maid of honor Lily comes up to me, "You look gorgeous. Ready to marry the love of your life?" she says.
"More than ready." I smile, and all the bridesmaids and groomsmen take their place. So does blossom with her basket full of pale pink rose petals.
My breathing starts to get faster and my knees feel a little wobbly.
I'm going to marry my best friend and the love of my life.
The doors slowly open...
