The Life of Julie Swan Book II

Chapter Three

Bella and I climb out of her truck. Lately I've decided to just ride with Bella mainly because my truck has been messing up. Jasper said he was going to look at it after school today. I have yet to tell Bella about Jasper moving in because Jasper told me Edward wants to tell her.

I smiled rushing over to Jasper jumping in his arms. He pressed a kiss to my lips. 

"Hey, darlin." He smiled. 

"Hi." I giggled. 

I turned to Bella who was looking around for Alice, Cree and Edward. I let out a sigh before grabbing Jasper's arm pulling him towards school.

Bella had left school before I did because I was getting a ride from Jasper. He had his hand laid on my thigh as he drove. 

"Edward's supposed to be telling her now." Jasper says as he pulls into the grass. 

We climb out the car and I noticed Bella's truck was empty with her bag still in it. Jasper who was carrying like six boxes look at me around them.

"They went on a walk to tell her." He says.

"If she gets lost he won't have a head." I growled. 

I grab the last two boxes jasper had in the car and we both walk into the house.

I look out the window with Jasper by my side searching for Bella in hopes of her coming home. I sighed and dialed dad's number. After a few rings he answers.

"Hey, Julie I'm about to walk out the station." He says. "Is Jasper moved all in?"

"Yeah he is but when we got home Bella's truck was in the driveway and her stuff was in the cab." I say anxiously. "She hasn't been home yet. I think her and Edward took a walk into the woods."

"I'm coming home Julie." He says gently but I could tell he was anxious. "Give the phone to Jasper."

I shakily hand the phone over to Jasper who took it while wrapping his arm around my waist pulling me closer. I watch intently out the window ignoring dad and Jasper's conversation. Soon Jasper hands me back my phone before picking me up and sitting me down on the couch. He crouched in front of me brushing my hair out of my eyes. 

"Everything will be alright, Darlin." He says gently. "Your father is calling a search party." 

I nodded curling up into a ball on the couch and Jasper sat beside me holding me close.

"Julie! Jasper!" Dad shouted as he burst through the front door.

"In the living room dad." I called out.

"Have you heard anything from her?" He asked and I shook my head with tears in my eyes. "Stay in here baby. The others and I will find her."

"Want me to help Charlie?" Jasper asked.

"No." He shook his head. "Stay with her she needs you right now."

I felt Jasper nod as he pulled me closer to him kissing my head.

It has been about three hours since Bella had went missing and I couldn't take being inside and being useless anymore. I got up off the couch and rushing to the door slipping on a random coat which appears to be one of Jasper's and walk out the door with him following. I walk over to dad ignoring the glares we got from Billy Black and Harry Clearwater. Jacob gave me a sad smile but I didn't return it. 

"Anything yet?" I asked leaning back into Jasper's arms as he wound them around my hips. 

"No." Dad shook his head. "Nothing yet."

"Charlie!" Jake shouted causing everyone's head snap to Jake.

He was pointing towards the forest where Sam was walking out carrying Bella. Dad and I rush over to them and dad took Bella out of his arms thanking him. I thank him also but he gave me a look as if he wanted to talk to me. 

"I'll be in in a minute dad." I say. "I need to speak with Sam."

Dad nodded carrying Bella inside. I look towards Jasper nodding towards the house. Jasper reluctantly walked into the house after dad. I turn back toward Sam. 

"I know that you're half vampire." He says causing me to suck in a breath.

"I knew it since I phased." He says. "You're the only vampire to ever enter our lands I trust you."

I smiled hugging him. "Thank you."

"You're welcome, also this bonehead misses you." He says nodding behind me. 

I turn to see Paul standing there but he was more buff. I smiled at Paul and his tough face turned back into his playful smile as he pulled me into a hug.

"Don't ever stop talking to me Julietta." He says. "Also why is the blonde leech here but not his family?"

I sighed. "Because he didn't want to leave his fiancé." I smirked.

"Fiancé?!" He practically shouted. "You're engaged?"

I laugh nodding showing him the ring. He sighed shaking his head. 

"Oh! Paul my truck has been acting up can you look at it tomorrow?" I asked and he nodded. 

I gave Paul and Sam a hug goodbye before I rushed off inside where dad and Jasper where taking care of Bella. I move them out the way and climb onto the couch with Bella who immediately cuddles into me and starts to sob. Mumbling things like he left.

"Shh, Bella everything will be okay." I whispered stroking her hair.
