I pulled up in the driveway noticing Bella and Jasper where home. I shut off the engine climbing out the truck and Bella comes outside as I slammed the truck door shut. I gave her a small smile. She pulls me into a hug.
"I'm sorry." She says.
"I know and it's okay." I say. "Let's head inside."
We loop arms and walked into the house. I spot Jasper sitting at the kitchen table staring blankly at the Civil War history book. I walked over and climb into his lap snuggling close to his cool chest. Jasper pressed his lips against my temple.
"I love you." I mumbled into his chest. "But you can't control what I do or say."
"I promise, darlin I won't." He says and I smiled kissing him on the lips. "Bells wanna help make dinner?"
Bella nodded and I climb out of Jasper's lap. Bella grabs the spaghetti pasta and tomato sauce. I grabbed the meat we had sat in the fridge to defrost. I noticed Bella didn't grab the mushrooms.
"Marie! Mushrooms." I playfully scolded.
Bella laughed before searching the cabinets. "I can't find it." She says as I grabbed garlic bread.
I walk over sitting the garlic bread on the counter and search with her. I let out a groan seeing no canned mushrooms that we always put in our spaghetti. I turn to Jasper giving him a small smile.
"I'll be back he laughed walking over and pecked my lips before leaving the house.
Bella turned to me, "I miss him ya know?"
"I'm sorry." I say gently. "Jasper told me the real reason he left and blames himself."
"Why did he leave?" Bella asked.
"Because he doesn't want to put you in any danger but the thing is he did when you two started dating. It's something he didn't realize and something that Jasper realized immediately but that's why Jazz refused to leave." I explained.
She nodded. "I need to thank him for calming me down those nights that I have nightmares."
I smiled at her pulling her into a hug. She hugged me back tightly as the door opened. I look up seeing dad walking into the kitchen. He gave us a smile walking over and pulling both of us into such a big bear hug that we couldn't really breath.
"Dad!" Bella and I groaned. "Need air!"
He laughed letting us go before looking around the room. "Where's Jasper?"
"He went to get mushrooms." I smiled as Bella started on the meat.

I groaned as I climb into Jasper's car. I don't want to go to school I just want sleep. Jasper laid his hand on my jean clad thigh with a smile.
