The Life of Julie Swan Book II

Chapter Seven

It was a week since the movies and when Jacob almost tore Mike's head off. That's what Bella told me what happened that night anyways. Now Jacob won't answer her calls and supposedly he has mono but I already know that's a lie because of Paul. He told me that he was phasing. 

I bit my finger watching from across the room as Bella called Jacob again. Dad and Harry were getting their fishing stuff ready for their day of fishing. Jasper was laid across the couch with his head laid in my lap. He reached up taking my finger out of my mouth.

I look down at him and smiled gently. He smiled back before sitting up and kissed my forehead.

 "I'll be back later." He says. "Gotta check the house." 

I nodded leaning over and kissed him before he got up leaving. 

"I don't have to go." Dad says looking between Bella and I.

"Yes you do." Harry says causing me to chuckle.

"Go dad." Bella says. "I'll be fine I've got Julie." 

Dad nodded "Okay, stay here no hikes."
And he left with Harry. Bella walked over sitting beside me on on the couch. I turn on the tv to a random show. We were watching it for about five minutes before Bella suddenly stood up.

"Lets go on a hike." She says.

"Okay." I shrugged.

I get up and slipped on my coat and boots. I wait for Bella and we headed out towards the woods.

We made it to a clearing of what looked like dead plants. I watched Bella fall to her knees touching the dead grass. My heart shattered when I realized what this place was. The meadow that was hers and Edward's spot. Suddenly Bella gasped standing up.

"Laurent." She says. 

I quickly snap my head up and walk over to Bella hissing at Laurent. I never trusted his ass. 

"I must admit." He says. "I didn't expect to find you two here." 

"We live here." Bella says. "But why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be in Alaska with Carlisle's friends?"

I kept my guard up not trusting him at all. 

"Tanya, of course." He replied. "It was nice of him to arrange as I'm an associate of the enemy." 

"You tried to help us." Bella practically whined as I slowly started stepping forward. 

I eye Laurent watching as he started to walk forward. 

"I went to visit the Cullen's." He explained. "But their house is empty. I'm surprised they left you both behind. Weren't you both some sort of pet of theirs?" 

Good he doesn't know Jasper stayed. 

"T-they visit all the time." Bella lied horribly. 

I got tired of this shit I quickly search the future and see him killing us. My eyes snap open and I shoved Bella behind me growling. I faintly hear the sound of the wolves and Jasper running through the forest. Lately he's been helping them. 

"Pain." I say locking eyes with Laurent.

Laurent falls to his knees screaming bloody murder. I kept my focus as the wolves and Jasper come once they were close enough I blink taking away the pain. Laurent sat there gasping for air.

"The Pri-" I smirked as Sam went to tackle him. 

Laurent quickly got up and started to run. As the wolves chased them. Soon Jasper appeared as to not cause suspicion with Bella. He quickly assessed Bella and I checking for injuries. 

"Where is he?" He lied with ease. 

"Giant wolves went after him." Bella mumbled stunned. 

"Why the hell are you doi-" He cut off looking around the meadow. "His meadow."

"Yeah Bella wanted to see it." I say. "Lets get going."

I quickly pick Bella up lifting her onto my back and running through the forest at vampire speed with Jasper by my side. We made it to our backyard and I sat Bella down right before we where out of the tree line. I noticed dad was home along with Harry.

"I'll be back in a bit." He says leaning down and kissing me before disappearing into the woods. 

I quickly follow Bella who ran to the house. I watched as she slammed the door open.

"Dad!" She yelled out causing both him and Harry to jump looking at us.

"Bella, Julie where the hell where you  girls?" He asked.

"We went on a hike and seen them their giant wolves!" I say. "They were after something." 

"Harry want to go hunting?" Dad asked.

"Sure." Harry mumbled and I look at him with widen eyes. 

"I'm gonna go to Emily's she was supposed to teach me a new recipe." I say suddenly. 

Dad nodded and  I rushed out the house and to my truck. I drive away towards Emilys.

Once I make it there I throw the truck in park and rush inside as soon as I shut the engine off. I ignored a glaring Jake as I ran to Sam who looked confused. 

"Dad's going hunting." I say quickly. "Bella told him we seen wolves and didn't ask me if I saw them so he's going hunting for you guys. Harry will be with them." 

"Fucking Lee-" Paul begins but I turn to him glaring.

"Say the word Paul and I will use it on you." I hissed.

"Use what?" Jake snapped. "Like a puny human can do anything."

I ran to him at my vampire speed grabbing him by his throat holding him in the air knocking the chair backwards. 

"I'm only half human you fucking dumbass." I hissed before throwing him across the room. "You are so fucking lucky Bella likes you or I'd use it on you." 

Jake was sat there wide eyed before turning to Sam wide eyed. 

"Why is there a leech here?" He hissed.

I couldn't hold it back. I turn to him and whisper almost silently pain while locking eyes. He screamed in agony. I only do it for a few minutes before I blink and turn to Emily who smiled at me.

"Can we make Apple Pie?" I asked.

"Of course." She says gently leading me to the kitchen to start our apple pie.
