Heyo! Woah there, sorry, gotta put my sunglasses on, cause that smile is bright! Come on, that's the prettiest smile I've ever seen! Anyways. here's a new chapter after ages! thank you for reading my story. I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while, it's exam week. I have a new story btw! check it out! it's called "Words of a Soulmate" and it's also a daminette fanfic. I'm gonna be trying to write some PJO and HP ones as well! Sorry I'm rambling, have fun!

Damian glanced at Titus, making sure the peaceful expression was on point. This was the first sketch he'd made in a while, and he wanted to make sure his skills were still on point.

He'd been working on this sketch for around 4 hours, and he was dead set on making sure that this image would be perfect. He'd been sketching the most rare and adorable image (not that he would admit it, nono, Damian Wayne doesn't think anything's cute), of Titus and Alfred the cat napping together.

He hadn't noticed the odd yet familiar feeling taking over him, one that he'd been pining after for three years. For the first time since he'd died, he felt relaxed, happy even.

Todd burst into his room, "BRAT! WHERE THE F- Hold on.. were you.. Singing?" he started laughing and called out to Drake and Grayson, screaming when Damian threw one of his knives at him.

He hadn't noticed he was humming. And he probably wouldn't have realized it either. However, once Todd left, Damian's senses were tingling.

It took him a couple of minutes to realise what had been different. He'd been... happy, relaxed and almost complete even. The hollow feeling that had been haunting him was gone.

Damian couldn't believe it! He was happy, excited and was close to tears, both out of happiness and a slight fear. But he didn't want to jump to conclusions. He got out his notebook, and focused. He let his mind go blank and focused on the tingling sensation creeping up his neck. He let his hand flow through the notebook and try write the words out. Except.. It didn't..

Disappointment built up at the back of his throat and the green-eyed boy tried to swallow back his sadness. Until he realized something..

Todd had said that he was singing.. That meant that either he had, somehow, gotten a new soulmate, or his soulmate was still alive and they'd swapped parts!

He tried not to get his hopes up as he ran down to the Cave, determined to get his hands on this piece of information. When he got to the BatComputer, Drake was already there, snoozing with his cup of life clenched tightly between his fingers. Damian not so gently pushed Drake off his chair, and unsurprisingly, he stayed asleep, even with the sticky substance dripping down his face.

After hours of useless research, Damian came across only a slightly sketchy website that stated that if one soulmate falls into coma, the other loses their part as well until the other is out of coma as well. It sounded like the closest thing to Damian's situation. He clutched onto that one ray of hope, and for some reason, he couldn't help but believe, that he'd find his soulmate soon, and they're waiting for him too.

Sorry for the short chapter. It isn't my best. I promise though, I'll write a publish a new and even better one soon!
