III - Homecoming

"Let me get this straight," Koko Ci sighs, "Do you think the only answer to your issues would be at your home? On Earth?"

"Yes. My powers originated from there. As far as I know, no power sphere could carry such power as mine. Even Databot could not find any data about it." Nerissa claims.

"And how do you intend to find it?" Tarung queries.

She responds, "Well, a family member once carried the same power. He was ancient, however. The information about him and his power were very little. So, I will ask my family about it and try to dig deep into ancient history."

"I see." Koko Ci nods his head.

"With this explanation, I'm requesting permission to leave for Earth." Nerissa proposed.

The Admiral calls her name, "Vice-Captain Nerissa?"

She notices, "Yes, sir?"

"You do know that you are off-duty, right?" He questions.

"I do, sir. But I thought I was not allowed to leave the station." Nerissa replies to him.

That answer left the Admiral flabbergasted, "Then you may leave as you pleased, Nerissa. There's no need to ask out permission."

"At least I've told you where I would go. So, in case anything happens, you'll know my whereabouts." Nerissa answers.

What's his response? He just smirks about it.

The Commander then queries, "But for how long?"

"That... I'm not very sure about it. Until the visions fully stop." Nerissa says.

"Can we go, too, Commander?"

The three seniors gaze at the sound source. It was the kids peeking from the door. They could tell they were eavesdropping on the whole conversation from the enthusiastic look on their faces.

"What are you doing here?" Tarung questions aloud.

Boboiboy replies, "We've heard Nerissa's going back to her home. And to be honest, we've never been there."

"And what's the problem with that, huh?" The Admiral is still questioning them.

"Well, we wanted to go there with her, Admiral," Yaya speaks, uneasy with the Admiral's loud voice.

"Very well."

Nerissa is confused, "What?"

"Your permission to leave has been granted, Vice-Captain." The Commander informs.

She relieves, "Good lord."

"And all of you!" Koko Ci points his black stick toward the kids, startling them, "Considering that you have done great doing your missions for the past few months, all of you have been granted a month of vacation."

Those words made them rejoice in victory. Nerissa also felt happy for them.

"Captain Kaizo will follow you on your day off once he's completed all the missions." Koko Ci informs

"Vice-Captain," Tarung speaks to her, "I wish you good luck on your recovery journey."

"Thank you, Admiral, Commander."

The ship lands a few miles away from Tok Aba's Kokotiam, with all the families waiting for the presence of their children. The kids rush from the spacecraft and embrace their parents after months on duty. They're home now. Seeing them like that, Nerissa wonders how the royal would welcome her back.
