Kelly: "You know the words aren't gonna change no matter how many times you read that, right?" he sighs, leaning against the couch where Matt sits, reading through the note Ryan left him "Casey" he calls out, patting his shoulder "Matt."
Matt: "What is it?"
Kelly: "What are you doing?"
Matt: "What do you think I'm doing? I'm trying to figure out what happened to Ryan."
Kelly: "Well, nothing happened to her, Matt. She just left."
Matt:" That's it? She just left? And that makes sense to you?"
Kelly: "She said it herself. She-she felt like Mateo wasn't safe with her right now."
Matt: "But why? Why all of a sudden did she suddenly feel as if she wasn't safe to be around her own child? And I mean why...why would she withdraw money from a savings account she hasn't touched in years?"
Kelly: "I don't know." he sighs
Matt: "Well you gotta give me something, Kelly. Cause I really don't want to believe that she could do this to us, to me, to Mateo."
Kelly: "You just gotta give her time. She's gonna come home."
Matt: "How do you know that?"
Kelly: "Cause I know my sister."
Matt: "Yeah, well, I thought I did, too. Now I'm not so sure." he scoffs, letting out a small sigh when hearing Mateo crying in the other room

Cruz: "Hey, Lieutenant. Any word on Ryan?"
Matt: "No, nothing." he sighs, entering the common room as he moves to pour himself a cup of coffee
Otis: "Have you tried Gen? She might just be hiding out with her."
Matt: "Genevieve's in Israel."
Mouch: "Well, it's not like Ryan has many places she could go. Pretty much everyone she knows is here. She couldn't have gone far."
Hermann: "Eh, she did drive all the way to Mexico one time so...it's possible." he shrugs as Matt feels his phone vibrate
Cruz: "Is that Ryan?" he perks up as Matt's brows furrow
Matt: "No."
Hermann: "What's up?"
Matt: "Just got a message from Chicago Med. They apparently were following up on Mateo's last visit."
Otis: "Mateo went to the hospital?"
Matt: "First time I'm hearing about it." he hums, turning to walk out the room as a look of confusion comes over his face

Matt: "Hey, Chief. You mind if I step out for a bit? Hermann can take over."
Boden: "Everything alright?"
Matt: "I'm, uh, I'm not sure. Just gotta check on something."
Boden: "This about Ryan?"
Matt: "Yeah, I think so."
Boden: "Let me know what you find out."
Matt: "Thanks, Chief."
Boden: "Of course."

Matt: "Hey, uh, Wesley. Um, I-I mean, Dr. Green."
Wesley: "Hey. Casey, right?"
Matt: "Yeah. And, uh, this is my son Mateo, who I think you may know already."
